Our company's rich heritage in craftsmanship dates back to 1994, rooted in a family tradition of tailoring. My journey began in a humble tailoring family where the art of sewing was not just a profession, but a legacy passed down through generations. From a young age, I learned the importance of discipline and precision from my father, a strict yet skilled mentor. My path took an unexpected turn when I ventured into the world of women's lingerie—a decision initially met with skepticism and judgment. As I recall, in the beginning, it was a challenge to recruit workers and even more difficult to teach them the intricacies of lingerie production. Despite the initial struggles, our perseverance paid off, and Lily Underwear flourished, becoming the talk of the town. However, this journey was not without obstacles. The societal stigma attached to a man in the lingerie industry led to feelings of discomfort and isolation. During this time, I retreated from the public eye, focusing solely on refining our production processes. Adversity often drives innovation. As our inventory grew and financial pressures mounted, my wife and I took drastic measures to turn the tide. A transformative trip to Guangzhou revealed the potential of lingerie as a symbol of fashion and self-expression, beyond its basic necessity. This realization led to a complete overhaul of our approach. Embracing modern designs and materials, our products evolved to meet the dynamic demands of the market. By 2005, our exports reached a remarkable 100 million yuan. Seeing our creations rebranded by international labels and sold at exponentially higher prices ignited a desire to establish our own brand identity. With the guidance of industry expert Qiao Lin, we embarked on this journey, appointing Hong Kong celebrity Wen Bixia as our spokesperson. This strategic move, coupled with our commitment to quality and innovation, spurred rapid growth and recognition for Lily Underwear. Today, Lily Underwear stands as a testament to embracing change and challenging societal norms. Our predominantly male team symbolizes progress, showing that men can contribute to and celebrate the beauty and empowerment of women through our designs. Why is a bra so much more than intimate apparel? One word: power. One more word: confidence. Okay, fine—three words: beauty. Lingerie has a special power—it’s next-to-skin apparel that’s so intimate, it can uplift, empower, and build confidence. Let’s go back to the beginning: training bras. Remember that first moment when you put one on? For many, it’s a rite of passage. No girl wants to be caught off guard in gym class, with their body making an unannounced entrance, or their bra strap slipping every time they spike the ball. That’s when you start to realize—materials matter. Even at that stage, the elastic in the strap can make or break your day. If it’s weak, after a few washes, you’re dealing with straps that fall no matter how often you adjust them. This is where “training” comes in. It’s not a marathon, but it is a skill—learning how a bra should feel, not just fit. A well-made bra should be so comfortable, you forget you’re wearing it. It shouldn’t pinch, ride up, or slip down—it’s like a little secret, just for you. Not something to fuss with all day. And as we grow, our needs change. Maybe you prefer a little padding for lift, an underwire for support, or the freedom of a bralette. Whatever your style, the technical side of lingerie design makes all the difference. Dear Christian PCM, Now let's talk about your clothing. All things being equal, NYSC should provide you with A khaki trouser, a pair of white sneakers, a pair of jungle boot, a belt, a NYSC crested vest, a pair of socks, a khaki jacket, a face cap, 2 white shirts and 2 white shorts. They tried, right? Now here is the issue. You would usually be in your common wear which is the white shirt, white short and white sneakers. White gets dirty easily so the ones they give you would not be enough, hence, the need to buy more. The white sneakers you would be given is quite difficult to wash so you would need to get white rubber shoes. You can get baby wipes to clean the shoe during the day. The white shirts are usually transparent so I barely wore the ones they gave to me. Most times, I wear the one I brought from home(I got 3 extra shirts). White is a see through colour so you would need to be intentional about your underwear. As much as possible, go for black or white underwear(from singlet, to boxers, to the girly stuffs). The colours blend with the white outfit you are putting on, any other colour you wear would be showing underneath thereby reducing your steeze and making your underwear very obvious. The white shorts you would be given might be quite short and be looking like bumshorts and you might be asked to tuck your shirt in, thereby making it shorter. To avoid this, buy your own white short or comfortable length or sew it. Ladies please wear black or white tights under the short. Some states would allow you put on mufti on Sundays while others would insist that you put on white on khaki. Just go with a few clothes for Sundays. Go with sleeping wears too.
