After concluding the fundraising phase last year, we have refocused on the revenue growth of our business product line. The challenge for this year remains significant, as we aim to grow the revenue from medical data media to tens of millions of Taiwanese dollars in scale over the next 2-3 years. At the same time, we also need to ensure that our businesses in Mainland China and Singapore can start to develop smoothly, ensuring that the company can begin to rely on overseas revenue for growth in 2026-2027. This AI-generated image represents my state of mind, which is that overcoming one high mountain only leads to another. Starting a business is not about climbing a single mountain but realizing after crossing various peaks that there are still more challenges ahead.

The power of collaboration in China: How Chinese company networks solve technical problems and reduce lead times. China’s business landscape is renowned for its ability to foster collaboration and innovation. Here's how Chinese company networks work together to tackle technical challenges and optimize lead times: 1. Ecosystem synergy: Chinese companies operate within highly interconnected ecosystems, where collaboration is key. These ecosystems include suppliers, manufacturers, tech firms, and research institutions, all working closely together. This synergy allows for seamless communication and rapid problem-solving. 2. Agile partnerships: Strategic partnerships are forged based on mutual benefits and shared goals. Companies leverage each other's strengths, whether it's advanced technology, manufacturing capabilities, or market insights. This collaborative approach ensures that technical problems are addressed swiftly and efficiently. 3. Rapid prototyping and iteration: The proximity of suppliers and manufacturers within industrial clusters enables rapid prototyping and iterative development. When a technical issue arises, companies can quickly gather feedback, make adjustments, and test new solutions without significant delays. 4. Strong Guanxi (Relationships): In China, the concept of guanxi, or building strong personal and business relationships, plays a crucial role. Trust and mutual understanding among business partners lead to smoother collaborations and quicker resolutions to challenges. These relationships enable companies to negotiate better terms, prioritize resources, and expedite processes. 5. Integrated supply chains: Chinese companies benefit from highly integrated supply chains. Close collaboration within these networks allows for better coordination, minimizing bottlenecks and reducing lead times. Companies can respond quickly to market demands and technical issues, ensuring timely delivery of products. In this collaborative environment, Chinese companies are not just competing but co-creating, leveraging their networks to solve technical problems and reduce lead times. This spirit of cooperation is a cornerstone of China’s rapid technological advancements and global competitiveness. #Innovation #Collaboration #China #TechIndustry #BusinessNetworks #Guanxi #ProblemSolving #Efficiency #Weprod

It is undoubtedly a challenging time for many foreign companies operating in China. The news coverage in the western media is generally pretty bleak, focused as it is on undeniable commercial, economic and demographic headwinds, leading to many headlines about companies reducing their staff numbers or scaling back operations. While China does not have a monopoly on uncertainty, cost cutting or layoffs, for most foreign companies it is the change in expectation and contribution of their China operations that is most alarming. What was once an incredibly profitable cash cow for many foreign companies is now becoming a money sink. In China, we witnessed many companies cashing in on the consumer boom of the last two decades, some with a level of complacency about the goods or services they provide being worth the premiums they were charging Chinese consumers, relative to local competitors and to what they charge for the same products in other markets. Quantity and quality of competition, emphasis on local brands and self-reliance in strategic sectors in the form of protectionism, investment in local enterprise and tighter regulations, coupled with rising geopolitical tensions and economic slowdowns, have all heightened the complexity of operating in China and with Chinese companies. It certainly isn’t as easy as it used to be for companies going into China; turn up, show product, sell product at large margin. But it doesn’t mean there is no hope for foreign businesses, just that the value exchange has changed. For foreign companies that still have business interests and partnerships in China, and more importantly those that still have a desire to keep and grow those interests, we now must concentrate on what value, insight or experience we can bring to customers and consumers in China. Opportunity of course varies by industry, where challenges around fair competition, securing permits, data restrictions, and scrutiny over compliance can create almost insurmountable barriers. However, it remains a market with hundreds of millions of active consumers and an appetite for innovation. That was all free insight, here's the advertising bit: Our role in marketing services is to offer a depth of experience, inside and outside of China. Whether you are looking to create efficiencies or expand and grow, we apply expertise and human-led technology solutions to navigate business challenges, ecosystem and cultural differences, and validate and inform efficiency and effectiveness to make better business decisions. While uncertainty is a certainty, opportunity is always present. Please do contact us if you would like to discuss your China inbound or China outbound challenges. We would love to see how we can help. #chinabusiness #chinainbound #chinaoutbound #marketing #opportunity #independentmedia #adtech #martech
