Over the weekend, I wrapped up an intense 8-day course on Improving Your Product Sense by Shreyas Doshi—and it was transformative. The class delivers highly actionable insights that sharpen your ability to think with clarity. In Product Management, much of our craft revolves around navigating ambiguity, and this course equips you with the tools to replace that ambiguity with confidence and focus. If you have been in the PM trenches for years and are serious about elevating your skills, I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you, Shreyas, for sharing your wisdom and pushing us to think and build better. Most jobs rely on frameworks, best practices, and tools—the tried-and-true methods for getting things done. In Product Management, we’ve tried to replicate this by creating our own. Much of the content we consume reflects this: “Here’s what Notion/Stripe/Canva did to succeed,” or “This is what Bezos/Zuckerberg said…” The message seems to be: Follow these steps, and success will follow. We’ve become hyper-focused on optimizing execution while neglecting the most critical part—thinking. We rarely take the time to pause, challenge assumptions, or embrace uncertainty. Instead, we default to “one-way doors,” racing to move fast and break things. I recently took Shreyas Doshi Product Sense live cohort course, and it undid all of that. The course wasn’t about execution hacks or trendy frameworks—it was a deep dive into how I think as a product manager. It forced me to unpack my mental models, reflect on what’s truly serving me, discard what isn’t, and rebuilt a model that's focused on the core components of product sense—understanding user motivation, cognitive empathy, and creativity. This course didn’t just teach me how to build better products—it fundamentally rewired how I approach product management. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to sharpen their thinking and elevate their craft. Thank you for the opportunity, Shreyas.

I recently completed Shreyas Doshi's intensive 5-day Product Sense course. Initially skeptical, I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a worthwhile investment. This course isn't for early-career PMs; it's designed for those with substantial experience. Instead of focusing on frameworks, Shreyas encourages deeper exploration of user motivations and creative execution strategies. While the course title is "Product Sense," it delves deeply into strategy and influence. Through dissecting case studies of recent products, Shreyas illustrates potential areas for improvement. A major highlight was the diverse cohort of Product Managers, CTOs, CPOs, and founders from various industries and locations. https://lnkd.in/g8723sfR

Last week, I had the privilege of learning from THE Shreyas Doshi in the Product Sense course! It was more than a deep dive into product management; it was about debunking years of myths, challenging assumptions, sparking creativity, and pushing beyond the obvious to understand users and businesses. It was intense, it was challenging, and it was ENLIGHTENING ! I find myself revisiting the lessons as I work to put my learning into practice. This course is a treasure of learnings and I'd highly recommend it to all experienced PMs, founders and leaders.

Quite an enlightening presentation. Cross-functional, erudite, understanding of related areas of responsibility has always been valued in product managers. With the advancement of AI, it has become much easier to bring value in related areas. But I suspect that due to the way GPTs are set up, they won't be able to turn the entire industry around. Certainly for early stage startups, the ability to have one AI powered employee instead of a cross-functional team sounds extremely attractive. But if you think about a mature product, with a lot of history, legacy, technical debt - I think the effectiveness of one AI powered/full-stack product manager versus a cross-functional team of employees who are experts in their fields is not so obvious.

As a CEO, structured learning can often take a back seat amidst the daily challenges of running a business. Personally, I was skeptical about the #ProductSense course by Shreyas Doshi. However, taking that leap of faith turned out to be incredibly rewarding. The course not only justified the hype but also revolutionized my approach to product vision! With 200 actively engaged participants over Zoom, the course was one of the most captivating learning experiences I've encountered. The course material itself is a treasure trove, especially for CEOs focusing on product vision or those influencing it within their organizations. If you have any involvement in shaping product vision, I highly recommend this course. It's a game-changer that can transform your perspective and enhance your strategic approach to product management. https://lnkd.in/gPzCn_jX #CEO #ProductManagement #Learning #ProfessionalDevelopment #ProductVision

I recently took Shreyas Doshi's product sense course where we learned the secret to building winning products: There are no secrets Most of us are doing it wrong :D But you can get much, much better at it than you realized If you learn to think correctly The course was dense, intense, and I learned more in 30 hours than in many years of doing product. Fundamentally it taught me what it means to treat making correct product decisions as an actual skill. But you have to jump in the pool and swim - there's no framework that can do it for you. Perfect for product people, founders (there were several great ones in my cohort) and senior Engineers https://lnkd.in/e8KDhv5c

This article from Marty Cagan dives into the transformative journey from focusing purely on what we make (outputs) to the impact of what we make (outcomes). It's a narrative not just about changing processes but fundamentally shifting how we think and operate within our organizations. Broken down into five concepts: - Product Culture: Imagine shifting the entire ethos of a company to truly value the impact of its products, not just the speed of delivering them. It's about moving from a mindset of "we need to get this out by Friday!" to "how will this change our customers' lives for the better?" - Product Strategy: This is where the rubber meets the road. It's about looking at the big picture and asking, "What big problems are we solving?" and not just "What are we building next?" It's a skill that requires curiosity, insight, and the courage to prioritize what truly matters. - Product Teams: Picture a group of people, each with their own unique skills, coming together not just to do a job but to solve a puzzle. They're given the trust and freedom to experiment, fail, learn, and ultimately find those breakthrough solutions that really make a difference. - Product Discovery: This is all about exploration and experimentation. Like intrepid explorers, teams rapidly prototype, test, and iterate, all in the quest to uncover that one solution that is not only needed but loved, feasible, and financially viable. - Product Delivery: Finally, once our solution is discovered, it's time to bring it to life and into the hands of our customers. But our job isn't done at launch. We watch, learn, and tweak, making sure that what we envisioned is truly making an impact. #productmanagement #prodmgmt #product #productmanagers
