I’m honored to be a co-chair the American Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Section’s Arbitration Committee, which will be presenting Kelly Turner, Senior Counsel, American Arbitration Association, at its December 10, 2024 bi-monthly committee meeting. Kelly will provide an update on the evolving law regarding what constitutes a proper disclosure. Additionally, she’ll relate the institutional perspective regarding disclosures, and discuss recent international decisions regarding disclosures. Zoom Link Below Kelly Turner: Kelly is a Senior Counsel with the American Arbitration Association, working with the company’s Legal Department to advise the business on a variety of issues, including litigation, subpoenas, and contracts. Prior to moving to the Legal Department, Kelly was the Vice President in charge of the AAA’s Chicago Regional Office. In that role, she interacted with the AAA’s clients who file commercial cases and the individuals who serve as arbitrators and mediators in AAA commercial cases across 9 states. She also was involved in arbitration-related training in the region. Before joining the AAA, Kelly spent more than 19 years at Locke Lord LLP, a full-service, international law firm, where she handled complex commercial litigation and was involved in a wide variety of cases in state, federal and bankruptcy courts across the country.
