At the beginning of the year, I aimed to read 1 business book a month. Happy I've stuck to this and hopefully should finish my 13th before the 1st. Here's a 1 line takeaway from each book that I've read: 🤝 Never Split the Difference: Mastering the art of negotiation is about understanding human emotions and using empathy, to achieve win-win outcomes - not brute force or manipulation. 💵 The Psychology of Money: Financial decisions are less about logic and more about our biases, emotions, and personal narratives. 🐘 Who Says Elephants Can’t Dance? IBM's historic turnaround: Even the largest, most established organizations can reinvent themselves through visionary leadership and swift, strategic pivots. 🏋 Disciplined Entrepreneurship: Building a successful startup means rigorously deconstructing your idea into methodical steps and executing with unwavering focus. 📶 The Compound Effect: Small, consistent changes in habits compound over time to produce massive, positive results. 👟 Shoe Dog: Entrepreneurship demands embracing uncertainty and pushing through failures while never losing sight of your core mission. ⚖️ Blitzscaling: To win big in a hyper-competitive environment, some companies must rapidly scale, adapting and iterating in real-time. 🫴 $100 Offers: Offer > Everything. Packaging your expertise into an irresistible offer is about delivering clear value and solving your customer’s core problem. 📣 $100 Leads: Effective lead generation doesn’t have to be expensive; it just needs to be purposeful and customer-centric, and you have to make consistent effort. 🫀 This is Marketing: The best marketing focuses on meaningful change for people who care, showing that your brands stands for what your audience believes in - not on attention-grabbing gimmicks. 🐄 Purple Cow: Standout products and services are remarkable, memorable, and worth talking about. 📒 The B2B SaaS Playbook: Running a successful B2B SaaS venture requires systematic growth strategies, unwavering customer focus, and data-driven decision-making. What’s on your reading list for next year, and what should be on mine? #Entrepreneurship #Reading #Learning
If you haven’t already, From Good To Great - Jim Collins
