Our Chief Analytics Officer, Mahesh Bharadhwaj, took to the stage at this morning’s Fintech Talents to talk about personalising the customer experience and what the future holds for AI, and in our case, the financial services and lending industry. Delving into the pain points of everything AI, personalisation, infrastructure, embedded finance and regulation (to name but a few), the panel debated on the priorities of AI, what the customer needs and wants, and what that will look like in the months / years ahead. Having launched our own GenAI conversational chat assistant, Airi, earlier this year we’re already seeing great results, and delivering some major benefits to our customers. Takeaways about AI from our team who attended Financial Brand last week; * Messaging around AI (or Generative AI) was everywhere * Executives are rightfully concerned about AI and its implications (Fraud/QA) * Banking executives are struggling with understanding how to safely and effectively incorporate AI into daily operations and customer experience * There was a lot of fluff regarding AI from some fintechs, which doesnt help * Glia's messaging around Responsible AI resonated with every executive our team spoke with. “You need to be able to speak ‘bank.’” Such a great line by Kirsty Rutter on the AI transformation stage at Fintech Talents. This was a part of a fantastic wider discussion on AI, personalization and customer experience. A 40-minute panel discussion flew by with some excellent pointers across a range of experience related topics - consumer duty and regulation - infrastructure and the art of the possible - the shift towards embedded finance - data quality and human centric design - deterministic AI and AI at scale - the reimagining (and rocket ship acceleration) of customer experience in the AI age. That the debate could have easily continued shows just where we are in the AI and customer experience landscape right now in that there is a long, long way to go. But the flip side of that is possibility (and, by association, ambition) of what might be. Exciting times and many hard miles ahead but we have a real responsibility to build right for the future.
