Leader 1: Three mandatory days in the office with a pass to tap for tracking Leader 2: Also three days, but they are set days which keep changing Leader 3: Three days are encouraged, with most attending once Leader 4: Complete autonomy. Attends every day but the rest of the team don’t Leader 5: Two days are encouraged and is adopted A snapshot of five people I trained this week through CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing. What’s clear: - The dust hasn’t settled. Companies are still testing and adapting their policies - It creates uncertainty in life and work - planning long term around your work patterns is difficult - Job conditions play a bigger role than they used to. Recruitment and retention relies on getting this right, balanced with what it takes to succeed in your industry It’s fascinating how it’s evolving, but I do feel for those in jobs they love but are mandated to work in a way they hate. Hi Jack Lowman Great post, I think there are some additional consideration’s: - Is it a Company wide policy or departmental view implemented by different leaders? - Where are your team based? I say this as half of my team are in Germany so managing remote global teams adds another layer of complexity. I aspire to be Leader 5 of the above ☝️ Hope all is well and have a great Christmas 🎄
