𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗢𝗸𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝘀𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽—𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 Seeing the look of pride on my granddaughter’s face when she "𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘐 𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘤𝘬" in a corn pit we were playing in, reminded me of how important it is to ask for help from others on our team. As leaders, we often feel the pressure to have all the answers and solve every problem ourselves. But the truth is, one of the most powerful things we can do is ask for help. When we avoid asking for support, the impact can be far-reaching for us and our teams. Here’s why asking for help is essential: 🧠 Leads to Better Decisions: Collaborating with others brings diverse perspectives and innovative solutions, while trying to go it alone can lead to missed opportunities. 🤝 Builds Trust: Asking for help shows humility and fosters a culture of openness. On the flip side, failing to engage others can leave team members feeling undervalued. 🌱 Sets the Example: When leaders are willing to seek support, it encourages the entire team to do the same. No one should struggle in silence, and this mindset helps prevent stagnation. 💡 Prevents Burnout: Carrying the weight of everything alone is unsustainable. Asking for help balances the load and strengthens leadership. Ignoring this can lead to exhaustion and impaired decision-making. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness—it’s a sign of strength, self-awareness, and growth. How are you leveraging your team and resources to tackle challenges? Excellent message! I am reminded of a great mentor and friend who taught me to ask for help and he reminded me of all the fantastic people out there who love to help! Asking for help allows others to give.
