As we head into the holiday season, the pace of PR work may slow down—but don’t let that fool you. There's still plenty to be done before the year wraps up! Plenty of journalists are winding down between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and pitching or placing op-eds may not get the same attention they would during busier months. But it’s the perfect time to focus on other things, like: 🔹 2025 Planning – What’s the next big opportunity for clients or a brand? 🔹 Year-End Results – Whether it's internal reporting or preparing results for the public, now is the time to gather insights, measure progress, and make sure everything is buttoned up before everyone heads out for the holidays. 🔹 Project Reviews – Get those key initiatives polished and ready for review before folks take time off. 🔹 Maximizing Year-End Dollars – Whether it’s unused budget or last-minute campaigns, we love making those dollars count! This time of year is also great for connection and reflection. It’s all about thoughtful outreach and finding new ways to think creatively about what’s ahead. So, while the holiday buzz may bring some quiet moments, there’s always work to be done—and plenty of opportunity to prepare for a strong start to 2025! #PublicRelations #PRLife #PRStrategy #HolidaySeason #YearEndPlanning #PRCommunity #2025Planning #ClientSuccess #ThinkAhead

Here’s the truth: real PR doesn’t happen overnight. If someone promises to completely transform your brand’s visibility instantly, it’s worth questioning how. Effective PR, especially when done organically, is a long game—not a quick fix. For example: 👉 Print coverage: This can take up to 90 days or more to come to fruition. 👉 Digital media: The turnaround is faster, but it still requires a strategic and informed approach. Before we can develop an impactful PR strategy, we need to fully immerse ourselves in your business. We need to understand your story, identify the key players, and study the landscape. Only then can we begin crafting a thoughtful and strategic plan for success. Remember: meaningful exposure takes time, but the results are worth the wait. We’re here to play the long game with you. Let's talk strategy 👉 https://loom.ly/MSgOBaU #prstrategy #brandawareness #redstudio #longgame #publicrelations #prdonebetter #organicgrowth

Good morning. It’s July 8th. Planning for your end-of-year earned media strategy begins today. Huh? But you just said, “it’s July 8th”. What do you mean, “end-of-year planning”? That’s MONTHS away! Got a product launch coming? A major corporate milestone? Some editorial calendar pitches for annual round-up stories about the best innovation of the year? Or are you just looking to capitalize on the holiday news cycle? Regardless of the reason, if you’re in the PR business you know competition for media coverage is fierce around the end of the year. Editors will be sourcing stories for what may be significant news around the holidays sooner than you think, so if you want to get your story into a long-lead outlet, the sooner the pitch reaches the editor’s desk, the better your chances are of having it included. But wait! There’s one more thing to do today… Not only does planning start now, but this year will require more than one strategic approach to ensuring your company or brand captures attention and mindshare in December; because nobody knows what the news cycle will look like come November, or in which direction communications pros may need to pivot, in order to navigate around bigger breaking stories that occupy the national media’s attention. Meet with your teams and clients now, talk about your goals for Q4, map and prioritize the risks, assess the value of your news, create the content and assets in advance (to the extent you can), begin determining which editors you’re targeting and the lead time they need, and ensure you know the end-of-year story topics they’re planning. Because today is July 8th, and there’s no better time for PR folks to start making plans to have a happy holiday season. #MediaStrategy #StrategicCommunications #PublicRelations #Communications #Strategy #MediaRelations #Media #CommunicationsStrategy

Are you struggling to quantify your PR campaigns? How can you tell if they're successful or not? That's been a big question for PR professionals since I started in the industry many moons ago. Add in social media and the everchanging landscape of the internet, I personally feel like measurement is in a constant state of flux. Cision recently released a tip sheet on the 7 Essential PR Metrics to Prove Impact. It's not in depth by any means, but if you're struggling to prove value, it's a good place to start. #datamatters #prmeasurement #impactofPR #publicrelations

Spotting these PR red flags could save your business. Here are 5 signs it might be time to rethink your PR game: 🚩 “Just hand me the news” approach Sure, PR pros need a news agenda, but a good strategy goes beyond just pushing out press releases. If your team is just waiting for your next big announcement to get excited, it’s time for a serious sit-down. 🚩 Radio silence on company updates This is the other side of the coin. If your team never asks for details about your company’s traction or product updates, they’re probably missing the mark. Reporters and editors crave solid data — so if your PR team isn’t asking, they might not be delivering. 🚩 Repetitive angles and stale storylines While your brand’s core message is crucial, effective PR should bring fresh angles and creative twists to the table. If the team is churning out the same old storylines without innovation, it’s a sign they might be stuck in a rut. 🚩 Deadlines? What deadlines? Timing is everything in PR. Missed deadlines can mean missed opportunities. If your PR team consistently drops the ball on timing, they could be letting crucial chances slip away. 🚩 The results lack a clear goal connection A solid PR strategy should come with clear, tangible results. If your team can’t provide detailed reports on media placements and how they align with your goals, it’s a major red flag. Red flags are like warning systems — they help you avoid potential disasters. Catch them early, and take action to steer comms back on course before it's too late. #PRAgency #StrategicComms #PRforStartups
