But that's not how it works. 🤦🏻♂️ This is where the confusion lies. Here's the thing: 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠—and it's a misunderstanding I see way too often. Here’s the difference: In traditional audience targeting, you tell Google, “I want my ads shown only to these people.” 🎯 But, in Performance Max campaigns, Audience Signal is more like a hint or suggestion. You're basically saying: “Hey Google, here are some users I think would convert well. Can you go find more like them?” 👥🔍 Google's machine learning takes that signal, but it doesn’t restrict your ad to just that pool.
