There's a lot to pick up in your early days, and plenty to be done even as you're still learning it. I wanted to provide a roadmap to help such pivotal workers throughout your first three months. And to accompany it, here's some overall tips for how to succeed: 👉 Understand your business strategy. > Familiarize yourself with this early, and get to know your fellow business leaders. 👉 Business goals come first, use tech to align with them. > Available technology that suits your needs >>> spending months to build the perfect solution. 👉 Know the tech stack top-to-bottom. > To make improvements, you need to know the strengths and weaknesses of what's already in use. 👉 Don't change too much too quickly. > Even if you’re asked to change things, your employees need time to adjust and maintain productivity. You'll need to work with many people in your role, from other executives to team leaders and outside vendors. Just keep an open mind, and a cool head. Your new role will require new ways of thinking. For instance, new technology is valuable, but also consider non-technical solutions for innovation. Learn as much as you can, about people, tech, and business models. Your connections made in your first hundred days will have far-reaching effects: So prepare yourself properly, and ensure you and your organization will be in good hands going forward.
