The role of an Aeronautical Operations Officer involves the efficient coordination of aeronautical search and rescue (SAR) incidents, and the efficient and effective tasking, deployment and coordination of UK SAR aviation assets. Focus on the German #AviationIndustry ✈️ Last week, we welcomed representatives of the German aviation industry to our meeting of the #BDLI Design and Production Organisations working group in #Braunschweig. The meeting, which was held hybrid and thus included many other companies, discussed topics related to civil aviation, such as the introduction of the #SafetyManagementSystem and, subsequently, the information security management system. There was also a very intensive exchange on industry participation in the amendment of the #EASA. In the EASA Stakeholder Advisory Board (SAB) process, industry interests can be more effectively incorporated in the future. Another topic was highlighted from the military sector under the heading 'Airworthiness in Crisis'. The different assessments between the civil aviation industry's understanding of #FlightSafety and the military's need for #OperationalReadiness were discussed. Once again, the meeting showed how important it is for the German aviation industry to exchange information, regardless of the size of the companies and their product portfolios. 🤝 #AirborneSolutions #SpecialMissions #AirborneSurveillance #FlightInspection #Aerodata

The International Civil Aviation Organization Eastern and Southern African (ESAF) Office actively works with regional organizations like East African Community (EAC) to align aviation policies and standards with broader economic development goals. A typical example is ESAF's participation in the EAC MET Operations Meeting, where they provided technical guidance to ensure adherence to ICAO Annex 3 standards. The #WMO Eastern and Southern Africa Office was also involved in the discussions. This collaboration emphasizes the importance of close cooperation between Civil Aviation Authorities and Meteorological Service Providers, which ultimately enhances safety and efficiency by mitigating the impacts of hazardous weather.#collaboration #icao #aviationSafety
