For the third year in a row, we're thrilled to have partnered with Kode With Klossy to host a two-week intensive coding camp at our New York Office! This August, our WOMEN+ AIG, alongside Tech@JCG and our Belonging partners, came together to sponsor and host this impactful event. Founded by tech enthusiast and supermodel, Karlie Kloss in 2015, Kode With Klossy is on a mission to break down barriers in tech, offering scholarships to young women and gender-expansive teens at coding camps worldwide. Over the course of two weeks, our scholars not only honed their coding skills but also got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how tech and fashion intersect at J.Crew. Their projects culminated in a final demo day where scholars showcased data science projects focused on different topics, such as increasing financial empowerment for gender minorities, increasing sustainability practices, and streamlining academic habits. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this camp a success. We're proud to be part of an on-going initiative that’s shaping a more inclusive tech landscape and empowering the next generation of coders. We cannot wait to continue this work next year! #KodeWithKlossy #WomenInTech #InclusiveTech #FutureCoders

Creative Educational Leader | Passionate about Future Skills and EdTech | Empowering Neurodiverse Learners
🌐 Celebrating the First-Ever #WorldCodingDay! 🌐 Tuesday marked an important milestone as we celebrated World Coding Day — a day to recognise coding as a powerful force for innovation, creativity, and inclusivity. UNESCO’s focus on advancing diversity and digital literacy in programming is essential to creating a more inclusive digital world. It’s inspiring to think about the impact that more diversity in tech could have, not just for individuals but for society as a whole. Imagine the possibilities if we could double the proportion of women in tech — potentially adding up to €600 billion to global GDP by 2027! Imagine also if there is more neurodiversity in tech. Embracing different ways of thinking would only further enrich innovation and foster inclusive solutions to today’s challenges. As an advocate for future skills and EdTech, I’m excited to support initiatives that empower everyone, regardless of background, to shape and thrive in our digital future. Let’s continue to work towards an inclusive, diverse, and digitally skilled generation! #DigitalLiteracy #Innovation #DiversityInTech #Neurodiversity #EdTech #FutureSkills #WorldCodingDay
🌐 Today marks the first-ever #WorldCodingDay! Coding is more than just tech – it drives innovation and fuels creativity. Yet the lack of diversity and inclusion in programming can reinforce biases and inequalities in the digital world. Did you know that doubling the proportion of women in tech could boost GDP by up to €600 billion by 2027? Or that only 14% of young people in high-income countries and a mere 0.5% in low-income countries possess programming skills? The goal of this first World Coding Day is to advance diversity, equity and digital literacy. Join us in empowering everyone to shape and thrive in our digital future! https://lnkd.in/eHUxtEqF

Breaking barriers and fostering diversity in the tech world! Traditionally male-dominated, coding has seen limited diversity. But thanks to Niall Maher and Codú, accessibility in coding education is taking center stage, empowering anyone passionate about coding, regardless of formal qualifications. Codú's mission is simple yet impactful: to make coding education inclusive and accessible to all. Through their courses and events, Niall has spearheaded a movement, enriching the tech industry with diversity and inclusivity. https://lnkd.in/dCF2bmSQ

As a Computer Scientist and advocate for youth in technology, I will deliver the keynote address at this year's Zongo Kids Coding Bootcamp. My talk, "Empowering Youth Through Technology for a Better Future," will focus on the transformative power of technology in shaping the lives and communities of young people especially in our Zongo and less privileged areas. It is imperative that we equip the next generation with the skills and knowledge to succeed in an increasingly technology-driven world. I look forward to inspiring and motivating these young minds to embrace technology and create a brighter future for themselves and their communities. Let us work together to build a more inclusive and innovative future for all. #ZongoKidsCodingBootcamp #ZongoVation #EmpoweringYouth #TechnologyForGood #InspiringTheNextGen"

Senior Data Scientist at BCG X | Consultant at BCG | MSc Eng in Mathematical Modelling and Computation at DTU
🌟🚀 It's never too early to start coding! 🚀🌟 I'm currently on my second season as a trainer for pygirls.io, a Boston Consulting Group (BCG) initiative designed to teach Python to girls aged 12-18. Each week, we dive into the world of coding, unlocking new skills and possibilities! I strongly believe in the power of early exposure to technology—coding in particular. It’s crucial that we introduce young girls to coding early on to ignite their interest and dismantle the myth that coding is just for boys playing computer games (or, in my case, just something my dad did at work 🤓). By engaging them early, we can help broaden their horizons and ensure they are not sidelined in the tech field. If you know anyone - your daughter, sister, friend, etc., that could be interested, keep an eye out for the next round of PyGirls. Let's inspire the next generation of female tech leaders by showing them that coding is for everyone! 💪 Learn more here: https://pygirls.io/en/ #WomenInTech

Welcome to "Feminist Minutes," where young feminists in Turkey discuss their trials, triumphs, and the taboos they're breaking. Each episode amplifies women's voices, challenges norms, and discuss various subjects.
Episode 15: Empowering Future Innovators: Why Women Must Code & Kode With Klossy A Kode With Klossy alumni Duru Çakır joined us today to talk about her experience. We need more girls who code to close the gender gap in technology and bring diverse perspectives that drive innovation. Coding empowers girls with valuable skills for high-paying jobs, enabling financial independence and breaking down stereotypes that coding is a "male" activity. Programs like Kode with Klossy are crucial because they provide a supportive environment specifically tailored for young women, making coding less intimidating. Sponsored by leading companies like Apple, Google, and Goldman Sachs, Kode with Klossy offers high-quality education in coding, focusing on practical applications through real-world projects. This hands-on experience not only enhances technical skills but also develops essential soft skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. The program’s emphasis on inclusivity and exposure to industry leaders further enriches the learning experience, inspiring participants to think ambitiously about their futures. By participating in Kode with Klossy, girls not only learn to code but also build a strong academic and professional profile, positioning themselves as future innovators in the tech industry. Join us to learn in a matter of “minutes” why women who code help build an equitable society for all women! https://lnkd.in/dTCjTFYN
