Congrats in the first 20 words of an email is dead 😂 Every email started with, “congrats on…”. It’s a great example of how something well-intentioned gets lost bc the preview text is a sea of sameness. If we REALLY want to say congrats- don't use it in first line, drop it into a PS! It's noise - not personalisation. So what do I say? Name drop the predecessor. The key is to lean into what you know about their industry priorities (or even past projects if you’ve got that intel). --- John – as you take over Steve’s work, I imagine one of the #1st wins you want to put on the board is making compliance easier for your team. I was on discussion with a candidate today. When asked about his date of birth, he immediately started abusing and shouted calling me Fraud. I tried to convince him that there's nothing wrong in asking as now-a-days, many big giants like IBM etc. even ask PAN number as well. If you are not comfortable, we will not be able to proceed as we need dob for uploading the resume on clients' portal. He again shouted you are a consultancy, not big company. How can you ask such details? Again, started abusing me :) Dear, understand if you want to apply for job then we need some details. Else do not even reveal your resume because that too contains your details such as emailId, phone number etc. Secondly, how can you abuse someone? A Toxic Workplace: My Experience at Intactit Infosystem I recently concluded a deeply disappointing two-month tenure at Intactit Infosystems. What initially appeared to be a promising opportunity rapidly transformed into a toxic work environment, characterized by excessive workload, verbal abuse, and a blatant disregard for employee well-being. Despite successfully managing and growing client accounts, I was subjected to unwarranted criticism and accusations of underperformance.
