Raise your hands if you returned to a past employer (𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲)! 🙋🏻♂️🪃 In my tenure at Symantec/Veritas, I have seen an unusually high number of “boomerang employees” who leave the company, only to return. 🪃 I left Veritas in January 2023 while I was the APJ Regional Product Manager for Alta SaaS Protection (ASP) and went to pursue a startup. I returned later in the same year to be part of the Backup Exec product management team Personally, rejoining #Veritas last year was a humble decision I was happy to make. Apart from other factors, I really missed managers like Simon who challenged my weaknesses, pushed me to grow into my strengths, and did it all while still ensuring work flexibility. Ultimately, I learned that I missed Veritas a lot, both the people and the culture. Of course, the team I started with, and the team I returned to were very different, but It’s the company culture and values that I came back for. Since returning to the #BackupExec team, I am most excited to have the culture I always loved, back in my professional life, along with the work autonomy and the cross-departmental collaboration with Channel, Sales, and many others teams. Companies should be open to hiring boomerang candidates. Returning employees are not just familiar with the organisation’s functioning, processes, and culture, but can jump right back in the thick of action without needing much training or hand holding. #Work #Culture #Career #Job #Jobs #HR #humanresources
same pinch.. and proud to be a part of veritas.. again..

2w🙋🏻♀️ as a fellow boomerang employee, I agree, for me it was the culture and people as well.
