All 51 men have been convicted of raping Gisèle Pelicot. She has handled the whole year with poise and integrity, while giving hope to so many women. "Shame must change sides," she said and she is right. I hope she can live a long and healthy life. Pelicot is the French grandmother who, after decades of marriage, found out her husband was drugging her and raping her at night for a decade, along with men from the street. Justice is served. 🌎💕 Repost to keep people informed. Follow me for more coverage of global politics, tech, and culture. Picture of Gisèle Pelicot.
"Shame must change sides." 💯%
Her husband is a monster.
I have no words left. She was betrayed by the men she lived with, loved , had children and needed to suffer his snoring for decades. If a woman cant trust the man she is closest to...im speechless. I wish she gets the help needed to recover mentally from this.
I don't even have words to describe this case.
I don't feel that justice has been served, but it's a decent start down that path.
It's such a sad, yet inspiring story. The lines have been largely blurred between a fetish and illegal activity. I hope this case will remind people, that a willing participant of any activity is the most essential bit.
Thank you for posting, it's sad to read of such stupidity of men. But perhaps this will influence discussions between parents and children how things like this must be reported and punished. Have the bravery to keep others from facing such injustice.
Her husband should have gotten 51 20 year sentences.

2dWhat a unique woman to chase justice as she has. How many humans over the course of history have been harmed like this and never found the energy to chase justice? So glad to see she is now a role model for justice seeking. Thank you Isvari Maranwe for posting on difficult topics too. Too many among us assume that social media posts are just for news that does not make others uncomfortable. But if we don't talk about the hard stuff, will the hard stuff ever become easier in society? You always make space for the deeper topics. Thank you for your energy and emotional expense to make us all think.
