Reflecting on Gratitude this Thanksgiving 🍁 As Thanksgiving approaches, it’s a perfect moment to pause, reflect, and express gratitude—for both the relationships that sustain us and the opportunities we share. Thanksgiving reminds us of its origins, a time when communities came together to celebrate harvests and mutual support. Today, it serves as a reminder of the values that bring meaning to our lives: 🌟 Gratitude: Whether it’s our family, our friends, or our professional connections, this is the time to acknowledge the people and blessings that make a difference in our journeys. 🤝 Togetherness: Just as Thanksgiving historically symbolized cooperation, we value the partnerships we’ve built. To our customers, colleagues, and collaborators, thank you for being part of our story. ❤️ Generosity: Thanksgiving encourages us to think beyond ourselves—whether that’s through a kind word, an act of service, or supporting those in need. We also recognize the holiday’s deeper history, including its complex legacy for Indigenous communities. This reflection deepens our understanding of resilience, gratitude, and the importance of mutual respect. To our customers, thank you for trusting us to serve you. To our families, thank you for being the foundation that supports us. May this Thanksgiving bring joy, connection, and moments of reflection to all. What are you most grateful for this season? Share below—I’d love to hear your thoughts! #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #Community #Reflection

Hello All, Welcome to another episode of #Thursdays@Nine. Today in the United States, we are celebrating #Thanksgiving! I am pausing our conversation regarding #EmotionalIntelligence (#EQ) and resume with the third pillar of the #series, #SelfManagement next week. Thanksgiving is my absolute FAVORITE #holiday. It is a time when our nation comes together to give #gratitude and #thankfulness for everything we have, achieved, overcame and even for the trials and tribulations we may be enduring. Yes, Thanksgiving is known for its delicious foods and #BlackFriday sales). This holiday, I am a bit more reflective on two things: One of my fondest Thanksgiving #memories. I shared the holiday with chosen #family and #friends while living #abroad. Many never experienced the holiday. I prepared #gumbo (a tradition in my household), turkey, dressing, mac n cheese and greens, while my guests brought the desserts, delicious cakes and pies. Starting, sharing and creating NEW #traditions with chosen people has been imprinted on my heart for eternity. Listening to why they were thankful and experiencing the food, and traditions brought #joy to my soul. The second reflective point is: Why do we reserve full-scale #thankfulness for just one day a year? Thanksgiving reminds us that gratitude should be a daily practice. Embracing gratitude for all of life's #experiences—the good, the #challenging, and the imperfect—is something I #encourage us to incorporate more frequently, both at home and in the #workplace. This year, I am deeply grateful for a loving and growing family, wonderful and patient friends, the beauty of changing seasons, and the hope for an incredible #tomorrow. What are you grateful for today? Please share your thoughts in the comments and tag anyone you appreciate! #series #futureproofing #connection #connectivity #essential #unity #communication #management #teams #GENXer #technology #humans #leadership #colleagues #humanresources #innovation #careers #marketing #blacklinkedin #culture

"Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously." - Ralph Waldo Emerson As we approach Thanksgiving, I'm reflecting on all the special traditions that make this holiday so meaningful. From grandma's famous cookies to that annual family game night, these rituals are the threads that bind us together. But what about our work families? 👨👩👧👦 This year, I challenge you to bring that same sense of togetherness to your team by sharing your favorite Thanksgiving customs. Here are a few ideas to get you started: 🍂 Start a "Gratitude Circle" - Go around and have each person share one thing they're thankful for about the team or the work you do together. 🧡 Host a "Friendsgiving" Potluck - Encourage everyone to bring a dish that represents their cultural heritage or family recipe. Swap stories as you savor the flavors. 🏈 Organize a Turkey Bowl - Whether it's flag football, kickball, or even a virtual trivia game, a little friendly competition can go a long way in building camaraderie. The magic happens when we open ourselves up to learn about each other's traditions. You never know - your team might just discover a new favorite holiday ritual to cherish for years to come. What Thanksgiving customs are you excited to share with your colleagues? I can't wait to hear about the connections and memories you'll create! After all, the spirit of Thanksgiving isn't just about the food - it's about celebrating the people who make our lives (and work!) so fulfilling. 💫 #Thanksgiving #TeamCulture #CorporateCulture #EmployeeEngagement #FridayFun
