SAP & Its Open Data Ecosystems / Business Data Fabric: (Please note this video prepared on December-2023) SAP has announced strategic partnerships with leading data and AI companies including Collibra, Confluent, Databricks, and DataRobot. These partnerships expand SAP Datasphere and enable companies to build a unified data architecture that securely brings SAP software and third-party data together. 1. Confluent - is a technology company that specializes in providing solutions for Apache Kafka, an open-source stream processing platform. Confluent was founded by the original creators of Apache Kafka, and it offers a platform built around Kafka to simplify the development, deployment, and management of event streaming applications plans to integrate its data streaming platform with SAP, enabling companies to unlock valuable business data and connect it to external applications in real time. Confluent's cloud offering is the central platform for continuous real-time data streams from various sources in an organization. 2. Databricks - is a unified analytics platform designed for big data and machine learning. It provides an integrated environment for data engineering, data science, and collaborative data analytics. Databricks is built on top of Apache Spark, an open-source distributed computing system, and it simplifies the process of deploying and managing large-scale data processing and machine learning workflows. It enables its customers to integrate their data lake into SAP software, enabling data exchange and preserving semantics. 3. DataRobot - Data Robot is a machine learning platform that is used to automate and streamline the end-to-end process of building, deploying, and managing machine learning models. It is designed to empower users, including data scientists, business analysts, and domain experts, to leverage the power of machine learning without requiring extensive expertise in programming or statistics It enables customers to utilize automated machine learning capabilities for multimodal data on SAP Datasphere. It also enables them to integrate it directly into their data fabric for business data management, regardless of the cloud platform they are on 4. Collibra - is a data governance and cataloging platform designed to help organizations manage and govern their data assets. It provides a suite of tools and features to support various aspects of data governance, including data cataloging, data quality, data lineage, and collaboration among data users. It enables customers to implement a strategy for enterprise-wide data management, building a complete data catalog with information about the data's origin across their entire data landscape, including both SAP data and third-party data. 5.
