🚨🎙️podcast guesting opportunity🚨 Details on how to become Guest on the power of hobby 👇bellow . #HobbyPodcast #GuestSearch #HobbyEnthusiasts #PodcastGuests #HobbyistInterviews #HobbyTalk #PodcastInterviews #HobbyCommunity #GuestWanted #HobbyistsUnite
I work around the UK and beyond to inspire one person a day using the power of sport and activity through events, workshops and connecting others.
Great to finally record The Power of a Hobby podcast with Dave 🎙🎤 Heffernan. We had tried to arrange this over the last few months but so glad we did this today. When you do hear or watch this episode you really will see what the Power of a Hobby means and can't wait to share it. When talking about a hobby or passion gets emotion going it really is fair to say you have found your thing. If there is anyone else who has a hobby that they want to talk about on my podcast, drop Leonie Rayney or myself a message and we will get it booked in.

I recently did a podcast episode on: MEANING & PURPOSE | Another westernized concept that is duping you into thinking your life doesn’t already have meaning and purpose. It does. I could tell this one really resonated with people based on the messages I received. There is so much buzz around "finding your purpose" and I realized that the downside to this is making people feel like what they are already doing on a daily basis doesn't have meaning and purpose. There are grand ideas of purpose like changing the world or writing a book or starting your own business or doing a podcast 😉 and I find that misleading. I think we are all living our purpose more than we think regardless of what we are doing. Give it a listen and let me know what you think. Quick 15 minute episode. https://lnkd.in/dBQfTDV

How do I become a guest on a podcast? This question has been popping up a lot in my recent interactions - and I have my answer to that - but I would love to know what other podcast hosts do. I have an upcoming episode of Bizcasters where we talk about the good, the bad and the ugly of getting guest pitches for our shows. I would love to have more input about what you, as the host, would want to see if someone was cold pitching themselves to be on your show. Did they need to interact with your content first? Can they slide into your DMs? Send you an email? or do you have a process already in place? If you have a moment and would be willing to share your thoughts with me I would appreciate it if you would fill out this short form. If you aren't a podcast host - but have a strategy for pitching yourself that works (or just have some helpful advice for others) - I'd love to hear from you too. Link in the comments.

When I launched my podcast in March, many people asked me how I did it. It's my first podcast, and I learned quite a bit along the way. It's something anyone can absolutely figure out on their own, but I was grateful to have some guidance from Podcast Producer Jacob Richman. Shout out to Rob Goodman for helpful feedback early on, as well. Join Jacob and me this Friday, June 14th at 10am PST, for our LinkedIn Live, "How to Start a Podcast as a Novice." I share my takeaways as a first-time podcast host, and Jacob shares best practices from his experience. Here's a sneak peek of the takeaways. Bring your questions! Link in comments. 👇🏼

Featured in Sifted’s Start Up Life by Anisah Osman Britton MBE yesterday! ⭐️ People always ask me starting a podcast because I’m nearly 300 episodes in. The savage truth? Most people shouldn’t start a podcast. They’re only doing it because they think they should or someone told them they should. Most people waste time on all the shiny objects like the name, logo, microphone, studio and so on. Once they start the actual grind, they realise it’s more work than expected and quit 👀. Unless someone is paying me, it doesn’t make sense for me to go for coffee with every person in my DMs who is “thinking of starting a podcast.” As a founder or investor, think hard about the questions I mention in this article before you start. The biggest one is “Why?” I’ve met incredible people through podcasting and it’s opened up so many doors for me. This is only through being consistent and having a clear vision of how the podcast fits into my grander vision. Check out the highlights of my tips through the link in the comments and full article next week! P.S. If you’re serious about building a podcast and value my time, the link to BAE Studio is in the comments too.

If you started a podcast, what would it be about? Creating an idea for a podcast is easy, creating an idea that has legs is hard. For example, I could start a podcast about Tom's incredibly funny and intellectual musings, but after the second episode I'd be struggling for content...🤣 When you have an idea, map out the first 12 episodes...if you can't do that then you may need to head back to the drawing board or open another bottle of rum and let the creativity flow... Is it a topic that generates enough content for it to have longevity? Is it self-sustaining in terms of news and updates? Is the idea scalable or adaptable enough as the seasons pass? I'd love to hear your ideas so bung them in the comments!
