Last week, I had the opportunity to speak at IR Magazine's 𝗔𝗜 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗥 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 in #London and join some of the industry’s most seasoned experts and veterans to discuss how IROs are approaching AI technology in 2024 – beyond just initial experimentation. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 from the conversation, to help guide IR pros in the practical and secure use of AI tools: ✨ 𝗜𝗥 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲-𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗔𝗜 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁. While professionals are utilizing generative AI technology to create content and analyze data, many IR pros now value tools that can deliver direction and insight into key workflows – such as content grading, suggestions, and error checks to critical capital markets communications, to help advance their corporate narratives. ✨ 𝗜𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗔𝗜, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗶𝘀 𝙏𝙍𝙐𝙎𝙏. IR professionals will evaluate AI technology in 2024 based on its track record of secure, accurate outputs. With this, technology providers must be able to demonstrate that their solutions are secure and competitive in delivering cutting-edge insights and content. ✨ 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗜 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁. Before even adopting AI, IR teams must establish the safe use policies, educational opportunities, and data governance policies and committees to ensure that these tools are being used securely. As AI technology evolves rapidly, IR teams and organizations must ensure that their critical business data is safe from threat and potential misuse.
