LGBTQIA+ employees are protected by the Equality Act 2010, so discrimination can’t be happening in the workplace, right? Unfortunately this is wrong. It is widely reported that many LGBTQIA+ individuals have experienced homophobia, transphobia and even harassment and violence in the workplace. This Work Report from Stonewall may make for uncomfortable reading, but the more we know, the more we can foster positive change and truly be allies. Leave companies arranging communities around protected characteristics Women LGBT Age related Disability Related Don’t let your kids attend Diversity and Inclusion classes Whether on purpose or because of stupidity these “initiatives” indoctrinate people and create more discrimination. Look at discrimination statistics in Employment courts. People Management is about concentration around measures and competencies. Diversity and Inclusion is an outcome of that and not the means. Diversity and Invlusion is not a kitchen level talk, it is a serious academic and social agenda and should be managed under special circumstances. #peopleanalytics #hrblockchainprogram

Discrimination has a devastating impact on people’s health, creating barriers for basic human rights like having a safe place to call home. If we don’t tackle inequality, we can’t build a fair community. That’s why St Pat’s stands against LGBTQIA+ discrimination, because equality only works when it’s for everybody. 🏳️🌈Today is International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination🏳️🌈 May 17 marks the date in 1990 that homosexuality was removed from the WHO Classification of Diseases. Whilst progress has been made, it's crucial to acknowledge that LGBTQIA+ communities still face discrimination and inequality. Why IDAHOBIT is still important today 🏳️🌈 68% of LGBTQIA+ employees in Australia are not out to everyone at work. (Out at Work, 2018). 🏳️🌈 2 in 3 LGBTQIA+ youth experience abuse due to their identity. 🏳️🌈 35% of LGBTQIA+ Australians have experienced verbal abuse in the past 12 months. By standing together and advocating for the protection of the human rights of LGBTQI+ people, we can continue to work towards a more inclusive and equitable society for all. #IDAHOBIT have lots of resources, find out more: https://lnkd.in/gJfDV_A #LGBTQI+ #HumanRights #ally Jonathan Roberts, Glenda Caldwell, Teresa Vidal Calleja, Mats Isaksson
