Historically, when Microsoft announces a “platform alignment” for BizTalk Server, it typically signifies the release of a new product version. But, for the very first time in 24 years, this didn’t happen. Instead, Microsoft decided to release a new BizTalk Server 2020 Cumulative Update 6 that provides a new platform alignment for BizTalk Server 2020, alongside fixes for existing issues. From now on, you can install BizTalk Server 2020 aligned with Windows Server 2022 and SQL Server 2022. However, you still need to use Visual Studio 2019 in development environments. This is a clear message that the Microsoft product group will not abandon their existing BizTalk Server clients that, for any reason, are not yet migrating to Azure or are not planning to migrate to Azure. #msbts #BizTalk #BizTalkServer #PlatformAlignment #TheBeast

It is not the first time people have addressed me with these types of questions: - I’ve been working with BizTalk for around x amount of years and am planning to learn Azure Integration Services. Which tool is best for that—Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code? - I’m learning or starting to work with Logic Apps. Which developer tool should I focus on/invest in? - I’m a BizTalk developer, and I’m afraid that BizTalk is going away or my company decide to move to Azure. What do you recommend I learn, and what tools should I use? - Or, I’m a BizTalk developer, but what should I learn to grow my professional career? So, I thought it would be a great topic to cover here on my blog as a Friday Fact. It doesn’t matter if you are a BizTalk developer or an Azure Integration Services developer; that means you are an Enterprise Integration developer, which is a fact! #msbts #LogicAppsAviators #AIS #AzureIntegrationServices #FridayFact #Azure #Hybrid #EnterpriseIntegration

We have a prepared video highlighting the investments that we have made for our BizTalk customers. We have also included a proposed framework for migrating from BizTalk to Logic Apps. We hope you can watch it and provide feedback on further areas we should investigate to continue assisting our customers in their modernization. https://lnkd.in/gbugUYXb If you are planning or conducting a BizTalk migration to logic Apps or modernization to Azure Integration Services, please let us know: https://lnkd.in/gthCSrK8 #msftadvocate #azure #microsoft #hybridcloud #biztalk #azurelogicapps #logicappsaviators
