I made a video about how legacy large telecommunications companies are poaching their customer's end users. (link in comments) I talked to a fiber network owner and operator earlier today in Texas. They were sold peering internet bandwidth years ago by the company x (a well-known name). The legacy large telco they purchased that service from (company x) is now planning on building fiber to 30% of the locations in their client's footprint. They (company x) are using government money that is supposed to be used for non-served areas and are overbuilding onto another network instead. Their client's network!!! It's another reminder that this is happening in the real world but never openly discussed. As a fiber provider, re-evaluating your partnerships is more important than ever. I am here for the under-appreciated nimble fiber operators battling the legacy large telcos (that created the digital divide) and their monopolies across the USA!!!
