We’re thrilled to collaborate with Startup Snapshot on its latest research report, Beyond the Buzz: The Real Impact of GenAI on Startup Building. The report is based on data collected from hundreds of startup founders and C-level executives. As GenAI adoption soars, this comprehensive study provides an unfiltered look at how startups are leveraging this game-changing technology—and where they’re falling short. 🔍 Key insights include: GenAI is a startup gamechanger: 66% of startups say GenAI is accelerating venture building, accelerating product development and reducing time to market Risk blind spots: Founders rate their concern about risks like IP and compliance at just 2.7/5 on average, highlighting the need for more proactive management. Investor enthusiasm vs. responsibility: 76% of startups report increased investor interest, yet 93% of investors don’t ask about AI policies, leaving founders with little pressure to address risks. Upskilling gaps: Only 15% of startups are investing in GenAI training, with most relying on external hires to fill critical knowledge gaps. GenAI is transforming startups—there’s no doubt about it. But our report shows that the industry needs to move beyond the hype. Founders and investors must work together to harness this potential responsibly, addressing risks and building solid foundations for long-term success. 👉 Download the full report here: https://lnkd.in/dEWMZUdb ARNON The Zell Entrepreneurship Program at Reichman University GenAI.Works Consiglieri

Thoughts on winning as startup founders in the age of AI 1. Startups are changing because of the AI. It makes increases everyone’s productivity, which means you can do more with less. Less money, fewer people, less time. And this changes everything about how startups work. 2. First, you don't need as much money to start something. AI can automate a lot of tasks, including design and programming, so teams can be smaller and more focused. This means less spending and, by extension, less need for big investments. The big funding rounds that used to be a startup's badge of honor? They're not as necessary now. As Bartek Majewski in his latest post notes - it’s just a matter of time until we see the first billion dollar valuation for one person startup. 3. Because of this, the playing field is leveling. Winning in startups is now more about how well you build, not just what you build or who you know. With AI leveling the field, the game changes. It's less about who can raise more money or who's got the best connections. The focus shifts to those who can navigate the startup process most effectively. 4. The Lean Startup method has been the gold standard for a while. But it's been over a decade since Eric Ries and Steve Blank shared their insights. Since then, we've learned so much more. There are randomised control trials run to really understand what drives startup success. There are papers on applications on the latest and greatest in the decision theory to entrepreneurship. Research teams are studying how to apply knowledge about the most efficient way to acquire expertise to startups (the way it has been applied to, for example, studying chess). 5. The founders who dive deep into these new approaches are the ones who'll lead. It's one thing to follow a playbook; it's another to challenge it, to push beyond traditional methods and apply rigorous, scientific approaches to your startup. It's an exciting time to be an entrepreneur, particularly for those ready to explore and apply these cutting-edge strategies to their ventures. 6. I’m going to keep writing about these ideas as I explore them myself. 🔔 Follow along to stay ahead. Post inspired by Bartosz Majewski

🚀 Each year, Station F in Paris embraces over 1,000 startups, showcasing the vibrancy and innovation of the entrepreneurial landscape. This year, they selected 40 standout companies, and it's noteworthy that 34 of these are leveraging artificial intelligence. This is a crucial development in the Information Technology sector. The dominance of AI among the top startups signals a significant shift in our industry. As businesses increasingly adopt AI solutions, we're witnessing not just technological innovation but also a transformation in how we approach problem-solving across various sectors. Startups are driving this change by bringing fresh ideas and agile approaches that established companies can learn from. However, this trend brings both opportunities and challenges. While the potential for growth through AI technologies is immense, there is also heightened competition. New entrants are now not only competing with each other but also with established tech giants, forcing everyone to innovate faster. Additionally, the implications of AI on job displacement and ethical considerations continue to be topics we must address as we advance. For those of us in the tech community, it’s vital to stay informed and adaptable. Understanding the emerging solutions that these startups are developing will help us leverage AI more effectively in our own work. I invite my network to share their thoughts. How do you see these AI trends influencing our industry? What strategies do you think we should adopt to navigate this evolving landscape? 💡🔍 https://buff.ly/4fIrUe8 #StationF #Startups #Innovation #ParisTech #AIStartups #TechTrends #Entrepreneurship #StartupCulture
