March 1 is tomorrow! Are you ready to demonstrate meaningful appreciation to employees? Will co-workers show appreciation for each other? If the answer is yes I recommend leaders take note of that and emjoy the win for a moment. It means you are doing a good job building a culture that depends on you but not only you. When I refer to trickle down leadership, employees appreciating each other falls into that. Broadly speaking, “what did you do yesterday that could positively impact how others choose to act today?” BONUS….Did you know March 1 is also National Unplugged Day? Can you honor that and appreciation in a single act? Thinking……. In close, and for our school leaders trying to solve teacher burnout and vacancies: You are not only leading a school. You are also leading a workplace. I can’t help but wonder what principals and administrators will do tomorrow to show appreciation to the teachers they lead? I know many schools have a teacher appreciation week. Regardless, i wouldn’t let this day slip by. It takes little time and effort to tell people who depend on your leadership that you appreciate them. #inspiringhr #hrdonedifferently

"Businesses can’t thrive unless the communities they serve and the people they employ thrive as well." — Jamie Dimon As we gear up for Employee Appreciation Week, let’s take a moment to reflect on the dedication, hard work, and passion each of us brings to the table. This week is a special reminder to celebrate our collective efforts, but it’s important to remember that appreciation shouldn’t just be reserved for one week. Every day, we contribute to something greater, tackling challenges, achieving goals, and supporting one another. Let’s carry that spirit of gratitude forward, celebrating not just what we do, but who we are—today, tomorrow, and always. Together, we are the driving force behind this organization! #employeeappreciationweek #gratefulteam #celebrateemployees #employeerecognition #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #powerofappreciation

🌟Appreciation in Our Team Culture As I navigated through forms in my tax attorney's office today, dealing with an array of documents from W2s to 5248s, my mind naturally veered towards work and the essence of last week's Employee Appreciation Day. This day, often seen as a national employer’s ceremonial nod similar to a Hallmark holiday, brings to light the pivotal role of recognizing employees’ effort and dedication. Yet, it was during this day that we ignited a spontaneous discussion within the Acosta Target Hub Team, a testament to our vibrant and inclusive team culture. It served as a powerful reminder that appreciation within our ranks isn't confined to a single calendar date. It's a consistent part of our ethos, embracing every function from Sales & Marketing to Customer and Client Intelligence, Store Support, and Administration, in daily celebration and acknowledgment of our collective efforts. This culture has cultivated profound connections among us, significantly boosting job satisfaction, engagement, and, ultimately, team productivity. Being a part of a team that earnestly values and honors each member's contributions is immensely rewarding. Let's commit to making appreciation a daily ritual, nurturing your exceptional team and the dynamic culture you can develop. Cheers to extraordinary bonds and accomplishments! 🥂 #GrannisAndHauge @ward-anderson-76834051 Heidi Barr Margaret McDonald Mary Nordsletten @heather-p-43ba5823a #employeeappreciation #TeamCulture #crossfunctionalcollaboration #Acosta #AcostaGroup

The best part of appreciation is that it’s free and doesn’t consume a lot of time. Anyone at any level can offer appreciation. It can be directed toward an employee, a colleague, or a boss. But when leaders get involved in the effort, a culture of appreciation spreads more quickly.

Here we are again with some important highlights:Reward &Recognition, Reward is something given to appreciate employee’s efforts (e.g.employee of the month awards, employee name engraved on small plaque in the hospital lobby, movie ticket and afternoon off etc.). Recognition is acknowledgment of employee effectiveness (e.g.note of thank from one of executives to employee when a goal has been achieved,hand-written thank notes sent to family of individual who has been participating in projects, publicly recognize someone, and just simply round on your staff to say thank you etc,). Thank you beryl institute team.

Today is National Employee Appreciation Day! Don’t worry - you don’t have to rush out and start scooping up gifts. The best ways to show appreciation are free: ⭐ Get to know your employees on a personal level during one-on-one meetings. Ask them about their families, hobbies, and lives outside of work. ⭐ Connect with them on a shared interest. Do you both love fly fishing? Set aside time to talk about your favorite trips. ⭐ Ask them about their professional goals, and offer ways to help them achieve those goals. Remember, it’s about using the Platinum Rule here, not the Golden Rule. (For a quick refresher: The Platinum Rule says to treat others the way THEY want to be treated. The Golden Rule says to treat others the way YOU want to be treated. See the difference?) What is the best way you have found to show your employees appreciation? #EmployeeAppreciation #LeadershipStrategies #GTNCoach
