𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬. “𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦. 𝘜𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦. 𝘋𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯.” -𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘳 𝘈𝘴𝘩𝘦 Business ownership is one of three ways to build wealth in America, and there are two pathways into it… 1. 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬- this is the path that I took. I worked for an MCA company and then replicated as much as I could to start my own business. During these last 4 years I fell into pitfall after pitfall with no guidance, instructions, or help. Now don’t get me wrong, I love what I created and the story of how I got here, but when I first started my business I didn’t know the first thing about franchising. If I did, maybe I would’ve chosen that route. 2. 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬- this is the path I encourage people to take. The downside is there is a higher investment fee, but the upside is you get a team and can become a profitable business within your first year. The only negative I would say about franchising is most of them are not providing you with leads, and they are not helping you with your marketing plan. But they do put you in contact with other franchisees who may be able to help you in these areas. Franchising to me is a cheat code to becoming a successful business owner. After all, 50% of independent businesses fail within the first 5 years compared to 20-25% of franchise businesses. If we can introduce more people in our communities to franchising, could we reduce poverty, lower incarceration rates, and help shift who is idolized- redirecting the image of success from the drug dealer to the business owner?

Wednesday Wisdom - The Hidden Benefits of Franchising ✨ When most people think about franchising, benefits like support, training, and branding immediately come to mind. But beyond these, there are less obvious advantages that can make a huge difference in a franchisee’s success. In this series, I’ll explore these hidden benefits—the often-overlooked aspects that provide incredible leverage, guidance, and growth. Hidden Benefit of Franchising - #1: Vendor Management and Buying Power 💸 When joining a franchise, you’re tapping into a network of well-established vendor relationships that have been built over time. As a franchisee, you benefit from: 1. Strength in Numbers 💪 The franchisor leverages the collective buying power of the entire network to negotiate better rates for a wide variety of vendors—like suppliers for raw materials, marketing services, technology partners, payroll vendors, and equipment providers. This means increased profitability for you. 2. Conflict Resolution 🤝 If issues arise with vendors the franchisor can step in, using their influence to resolve problems quickly. Because the franchisor represents many franchisees, vendors are often highly motivated to resolve issues swiftly to maintain the broader relationship with the entire network. You’re not just one customer to that vendor—you’re backed by a powerful system that vendors want to keep satisfied. 3. Time Savings ⏳ One of the most overlooked values of vendor management in franchising is the significant amount of time saved. Vendor relationships involve a lot of back-and-forth communication—emails, phone calls, and interruptions that can derail your day. These activities are often easy to overlook because they don’t show up on a P&L or get tracked in a CRM. However, they do have a real cost: opportunity cost—such as missing an afternoon of sales calls to handle a vendor issue. The franchisor takes on a significant portion of this burden, managing much of the communication, so you can focus on growing your business. Vendor management by the home office of the franchisor isn't just about getting better deals—it also means ongoing support and valuable time savings so franchisees can focus more of their time on things that impact revenue and profitability. 💡

Franchising, It’s a partnership model…………………. Michelle Obama once said, “Success isn't about how much money you make, it's about the difference you make in people's lives." That’s something we live by at WellBiz Brands, Inc. With five unique brands—Drybar, Amazing Lash Studio, Fitness Together®, Radiant Waxing and Elements Massage® —we understand that real success comes from investing in the people who bring these brands to life. When you have the right people—franchisees, team members, partners—by your side, success becomes a shared journey. It's about finding those who are just as passionate about making a difference as you are. Together, we create a culture where everyone is genuinely invested in each other's success. At WellBiz Brands, we believe that franchising is at its best when it’s a community effort. It’s not just about growing the brand; it’s about growing together. The right people don’t just follow the plan—they elevate it, making sure that everyone wins along the way. In the end, franchising isn’t just a business model; it’s a partnership model. And with the right people, those partnerships don’t just lead to success—they lead to something lasting and meaningful, which is what we strive for every day across our five brands.

The Harsh Reality in Franchising. Just checking off the boxes won’t lead you to what your really capable of. Franchising is like a game plan, a foundation, a system, It’s there for you to make the most of it, and give you a head start. It is there to catch you when you fall. But the system never stops developing. At The Brothers that just do Gutters our system is continuously being checked and challenged for improvements. If you only do what’s on the checklist and nothing more, never aim higher, you’ll find that your growth will be slower and you can end up stagnant. Be curious. Look closer. Ask the tough questions. Do the Extra. Dream big with your team. Try to be just a little better every day. When you do that, growth is happening even when you don’t see it. You don’t have to be the most skilled, the most talented, or the most intelligent. You just have to be the most resilient. There are those out there that were not qualified, not ready, not smart enough, who have made it. Why? They Started, Did the basics, Did extra, and Never Quit. You got this, We got this. It won't be easy, it will be worth it.

How Franchising Builds Up Local Communities At first glance, it might not seem that franchising would be all that connected to local economic growth. After all, you’re not running a “homegrown” business. But just because you’re buying into a known name or national brand doesn’t mean that you’re not creating local benefits. Franchise owners = small business owners who live and work in their communities, recruiting and hiring local residents to grow their teams of employees. They are not shipping jobs in from another town. They are growing new jobs — encouraging local employment — in their businesses every day. With ownership that promotes local communities, franchising creates new businesses that bring new or enhanced products into local markets and add new services to local economies. More than 60% of all jobs added annually in the U.S. occur in small businesses, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It is not the major employers, the largest companies in the U.S. who are the main job creation engines in the country. It is small businesses like franchises. https://lnkd.in/gQ-8YMuz

1.Begin with an End in Mind. Sometimes in order to succeed in life and also in business, it is imperative that we will have an idea of what we wanted to do and what we wanted to achieve before worrying about the details. Try this. Visualize your successful franchising chain ( let’s say 10 stores operating simultaneously). That is your target. Then from there, work out the details backwards, budget, franchising plans and others. Most of the time it works and it will help you a lot in setting your achievable goal. Visualize your success and follow this popular saying " Don't follow your dreams, chase it!">>https://lnkd.in/g6gxmg_q
