In May, Insight Partners discussed an impending shift in enterprise architectures toward AI Agents. In the six months since that article came out, we have monitored actual agentic deployments across companies, noticing the differences in use case complexity, the tradeoff of buying function-specific Agents versus building custom agentic workflows, and the variety in how value is measured and attributed. We spoke to builders, enterprises, end users, and researchers to get a deeper understanding of where Agents stand today, including: 🤖 The state of the AI Agent ecosystem 📊 An updated AI agents market map 💡 Agent end-user deployments: Examples, challenges, and considerations 💸 The economics of agents 💻 Considerations for enterprises 🔨 Considerations for builders Written by Managing Director Praveen Akkiraju, VP Sophie Beshar, Director Ash Tutika, Hunter Korn, Ethan DeSilva, and Christopher Gyra, see how the AI Agents space has already evolved: https://lnkd.in/e48KNgeM
Let’s start an insurance section, AiShelter has developed artificial intelligence liability insurance for both businesses and individuals - for those who deploy or utilize AI!
Thanks, Insight Partners for listing us inside the recruiting categories. Congratulations to all other startups who got featured in the list.

Thinking out loud: letting the map-making give out the flowers, but we bring home the trophies 🤣
Proud to be in this amazing map. Milestone
I think you're missing other good tools such as Early for Tests. Great agent by the way.
I think MatLogica is also being missed from the Code Generation (for computational graphs) and/or Dev Tools. The technology allows coding in C++/Python and uses its specialised JIT compiler to generate kernels for both "forward" (inference) and reverse (backprop, using automatic adjoint differentiation). The resulting kernels outperform tools like Torch, TensorFlow, and JAX by orders of magnitude for certain types of ML workloads.
Fantastic article! The evolution of the AI agent ecosystem and the shift toward multi-step workflows and agentic AI models is such a pivotal topic right now. This came up a bit during the AI Summit in NY last week. As someone deeply involved in helping founders and CEOs in the AI and tech space navigate strategic transactions, I couldn’t agree more with your emphasis on the need for robust infrastructure and real-world ROI for mass adoption. Looking forward to seeing how these trends shape the M&A landscape in 2025!
Insight Partners — SalesHero.io is coming in hot in GTM/Sales. Lots of people solving for AI SDR, not as many supporting Account Executives to discover and extract more value from opportunities.
You are missing Early on the code generation (for testing)
