Over the last 20 years, while creating systems, we’ve always asked ourselves: Why does the user need to click this button? Why add extra steps in the process? Why waste energy in our systems? Our goal has always been to offer efficient code and the best customer experience possible. Looking ahead to 2025, I am fully committed to advancing AI. If you’ve known me long enough, you’ll know that “Conversational Banking” has been one of my key initiatives for at least a decade. The era of AI Agents is upon us, and I believe we are on the brink of a customer experience revolution. 🌟 Yesterday, I had the privilege of presenting at the Lab of the Future event in Amsterdam. During my talk, I emphasized a critical perspective: as technology advances at breakneck speed and we’re under pressure to deliver rapid results, it’s crucial to balance short-term value creation with a sustainable, long-term strategy. I highlighted the importance of strengthening our digital foundational capabilities—areas like data and process management are essential pillars that support the effectiveness of digital transformation efforts. However, I closed with the most important piece of any transformation puzzle: the people. Without fostering a culture where individuals are empowered, we can’t expect them to adopt the right mindset for change. This leads to misaligned behaviors and, ultimately, poor adoption of even the most cutting-edge technology.
