Empowering Our Communities Through Clinical Research 🧬✨ Community engagement is more than just a conversation—it’s about empowering, educating, and creating lasting change in how we approach healthcare. For too long, underrepresented communities have been left out of clinical research, but it’s time to shift the narrative and create access to opportunities that can change lives. Here are three impactful ways to engage and educate our communities on the benefits of clinical research: 1. Collaborate with Local Leaders: Partner with trusted community voices to host workshops, Q&A sessions, and informational events. This builds trust and ensures the message of the importance of representation in research resonates on a personal level. 2. Host Community-Centered Health Screenings & Trials: Offer free health screenings at local events and festivals, creating a bridge to discussing clinical trial opportunities. Bringing research directly to the people ensures they see and feel the immediate benefits. 3. Use Culturally Relevant Education: Tailor clinical research information with culturally sensitive language and imagery, ensuring that materials resonate and speak to the unique challenges of each community. By engaging with our communities, we create opportunities for better health outcomes, ensure our voices are heard, and pave the way for a healthier, more inclusive future. Let’s take a stand for diversity and equity in research together! 💡👩🏾⚕️🧑🏿⚕️ #CommunityEngagement #ClinicalResearchMatters #HealthEquity #DiversityInResearch #UnderrepresentedVoices #bwicr #clinicaltrial #clinicalresearch #clinicalresearcHER #clinicalresearchassociate

#Health, #Science, and #PatientAdvocate friends: The National Institutes of Health released a Request for Information seeking strategies for maximizing public engagement in NIH supported clinical research. I just submitted some ideas from a #BrainHealth patient advocacy perspective. Please add your valuable ideas to this list and spread the word! 📣 Your voice matters! Responses due August 14th. "Patients, communities, and members of the public are essential partners to the success of clinical research. However, meaningfully engaging people and communities is not a one-size-fits-all approach. NIH believes that engagement should be tailored to the needs and experiences of people and communities, and that they should guide the direction of research that is impactful to them. This engagement should be done on an ongoing basis so that members of the public can become active leaders in all stages of the research process. This request for information (RFI) is part of a larger NIH effort to develop a vision and framework for incorporating public voices in all phases and types of clinical research."

Exciting new research from Stanford Health Care shows the potential for generative AI in healthcare through ambient listening technology. By analyzing conversations between patients and healthcare providers, AI can generate accurate notes, improving efficiency and accuracy in documentation. This innovation has the power to transform healthcare delivery and enhance patient care. Read to learn more! #AIinHealthcare #Innovation #PatientCare
Stanford Health Care integrates #AI-powered listening technology that takes notes for health care providers, allowing them to spend more time with patients and less time on administrative tasks. Through this new effort and others, such as the RAISE Health initiative, Stanford Medicine actively seeks to integrate new AI-driven technologies effectively and responsibly — in this case, to help facilitate the provider-patient connection. "It’s about helping clinicians do more of what they love — talking to patients and focusing on that engagement and therapeutic relationship," said Michael Pfeffer, MD, Stanford Health Care’s chief information officer. #responsibleAI #AIinHealthcare https://lnkd.in/eGum3nFN
