It is great to see SAC Compass come to life in Q1 2025! Being part of the beta programme was a great time investment, giving us the opportunity to contribute our ideas on feature enhancement and evaluate the tool first hand, and discussing use cases with the experts was exciting. Thank you Chen Nee Faulhaber! We (Martin Pawlik, Jonas Assies and I) have come to the conclusion that this is a very well developed feature that addresses one of the last blind spots of SAP Analytics Cloud: Simulation with Monte-Carlo methods. With this feature, we can finally move to a planning process that takes uncertainty and ambiguity into account. I personally think that in addition to predictive planning models, simulation offers many opportunities to improve existing finance, HR and other planning processes. We are proud to announce the target general availability of SAP Analytics Cloud compass in 2025 Q1 (targeted fast track: 2024.25). Soon non-technical users will be able to simulate the impact of driver uncertainties with an end-user centric interface. Simulation with no code, no prior advanced math knowledge or IT setup. Imagine what this could mean for your organisation's time-to-insight, when end users are empowered with the ability to perform scenario modelling and Monte Carlo (stochastic) simulation right when they need it! Questions to the probable impact of driver fluctuations on earnings, workforce, sales revenue, ROI, project duration ... etc. could be answered via a few clicks. Gone too are the days of data and formula duplication; compass simulates straight off the SAP Analytics Cloud model, streamlining the simulation architecture.
