The Civil Service have recently launched their Digital Secondments Programme, calling on the UK’s best technical people from industry to work with Government on the biggest challenges facing the country, such as cyber security and new emerging technologies. This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to build key strategic partnerships focusing on key digital skill sets. * Covers the whole of the civil service * Secondment opportunities in many departments, large and small. * Opportunities are focused on senior Civil Service roles, such as Senior Technical Architect and Chief Data Officer * Roles are pivotal to the government’s delivery of its unique, large-scale digital services. * Most roles are full time and long term (6-12 months) * Option for a part time or job share agreement where the secondee works 2-3 days per week in the Civil Service and the remainder at their usual post. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience • Completion of an undergraduate degree in information management or information services. • Relevant profession and leadership experience which includes responsibility for managing a corporate planning function within a similar sized organization and budget.
