Have Confidence in Your Own Words and Prayers Spiritual warfare is fundamentally about words. Nothing can happen to you—whether good or bad—without the use of words. The Bible emphasizes this power: “The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.” - Proverbs 18:21. It's crucial to take time daily to speak over your life, your work, your family, and every aspect of your existence. Declare what you want to see happen. Cancel anything you don’t want to see manifest. Believe in the power of your own words because they are indeed potent. Your tongue can bring death or life. Never let anyone make you feel that their words over your life are more powerful than your own. The strength of your words increases with the faith you place in them, growing more powerful over time.

Let me say these, i know many will crucify me. Don't stay around people that talk down on the concept of prayer, Avoid people that always say “You too the pray too much” there is no overdose of prayer, Prayer should be a lifestyle of every human. I hate it when i see people say we pray too much in africa, I will find time and do a teaching on that phrase “We pray too much in africa"... I am never against prayer and i will never be.. I only advocate a system of balance..... read my book on *effective bible study* you will understand balancing the Word of God and prayer. Don't let any one make you feel you are too spiritual, Don't be moved when people say you too carry church for head, Don't let them talk you down, Don't hide your spiritual identity because you want to ask a sister out and you are scared that she may not accept you like that. When I meet someone and I converse with them for the first time,, The second time we meet or opportune to talk, They address me as MOG... I tried as much as possible to manifest the fruits of the spirit, Fruit cannot be HIdden... Someone told me I am too Spiritual that i should do this God thing small small, i started avoiding him,,, *Words are seed*!!? Prayer and Excellence. Power and Wisdom. Have Both and you have a balanced life... We will apply wisdom and still pray when necessary. In all your wisdom, *Don't joke with prayers*...... Forget those motivation speakers online, Most of them are looking for content.

DEVELOPING AN APPETITE FOR THE WORD 1 Peter 2:2-3 Peter urges those who are Christians to desire the milk of the word which can either be Christ or the word of God itself. Either way we are to long for and develop an appetite for the things of God, especially for Christ and His word which teaches us who we are and what we ought to believe. To develop an appetite for the word we must read it daily and the more we read the more we will want to know what it says and how to behave. Ask God to give you this desire and longing to read and understand His word. Where do you get your spiritual wisdom and understanding from? I want to challenge you to read a chapter or a short book of the Bible for a week to 30 days straight and see what happens when you do. Maybe try it for 90 days. You might miss a day or two here or there, but keep at it and see how much you learn. Look for repeated words and phrases, you will be amazed at how much God will show you if you do this. "The point of the symbolic language is this: as a babe longs for nothing but its mother's milk and will take nothing else, so every Christian should take no spiritual nourishment save the Word." Lenski, p. 78. 1 Peter 2:2-3 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

Do you want your tongue to be wise? Do you see someone who speaks in haste? There is more hope for a fool than for them. Proverbs 29:20 All-Wise God, Forgive our foolishness. Heal our tongues, which often speak “rashly, like the thrusts of a sword” (Proverbs 12:18). We have become deeply enculturated in a world that is quick to speak and slow to listen when you have called us as citizens of your kingdom to be “quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger” (James 1:19). Lord, we confess to you some of the sins that slip off our tongues: comparison, envy, judgment, gossip, criticism, slander, to name just a few. Change us, Lord, so that “no evil talk come(s) out of our mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that our words may give grace to those who hear” (Ephesians 4:29). Grant us the loving wisdom, extraordinary patience, and sacrificial forgiveness of your Son who taught us to love our enemies and to pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 4:43-44). Encouraging Word - You Think Good Things What thoughts go through your mind during the day? Your thoughts have a lot of power. They can put a smile on your face, or they can bring you down. Just like words, thoughts can be life-giving to the person thinking them, or they can take you to the point where you think your life has no meaning and you want to end it. Negative thoughts are from our spiritual enemy. He wants us to think that we’re worthless or not good enough. Positive thoughts are from God. There are positive thoughts all throughout the Bible. I encourage you whenever you feel any negative thoughts creeping into your mind to take authority over them and kick them out and then open your Bible and start reading all the good things that God has to say about you. Philippians 4:8 tells us what we should always think about: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things.” Always remember that whatever thoughts you allow into your mind will come out of your mouth. Good thoughts are from God. Bad thoughts are from Satan. Whenever a bad thought tries to enter your mind, reject it. Say “I cast this thought out of my mind in the name of Jesus and command that it never return. Lord, please fill my mind with your good thoughts all the time.” Galatians 5:22-23 tells us what kind of thought we should be thinking. The more good thoughts you allow into your mind, the more at peace you will be.

Do not let the sun go down on your anger" is a phrase from the Bible, Ephesians 4:26, which means that you should not let your anger cause you to sin or last until the sun goes down. It can also mean that you should deal with the cause of your anger before the sun goes down. Some other interpretations of the phrase include: Don't let your anger lead you into sin Don't use your anger as fuel for revenge Don't go to bed angry Don't give the Devil a foothold in your life. Why do people get angry in the first place? Pause and think about that.

Think right, and you will live right 29 NOVEMBER 2024 ‘‘The mind of the wise instructs his mouth.’’ Proverbs 16:23 AMPC The Bible says, ‘The mind of the wise instructs his mouth, and adds learning and persuasiveness to his lips. Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the mind and healing to the body’ (vv. 23-24 AMPC). Your thoughts and your words are intimately connected. Because of this, it’s important that you think pleasant thoughts so that you can speak pleasant words. Your thoughts are silent words that not only you and the Lord hear, but when verbalised, affect your emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being. Solomon says, ‘Pleasant words are…healing.’ Your thoughts are silent words that affect your inner man, your health, your joy, and your attitude. The things we think about often come out of our mouths and sometimes make us look foolish. But if we live God’s way, our thoughts and words can make our lives and the lives of others more enjoyable. The New International Version of the Bible says, ‘The hearts of the wise make their mouths prudent, and their lips promote instruction’ (v. 23). Don’t make the mistake of thinking that you can let your thought life run in any worldly direction it wants and then fake it by speaking godly words. Either both are pleasing, or both are negative and sinful. There is no middle ground. Paul writes, ‘Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus’ (Philippians 2:5 NKJV). Scripture is your doorway into a new realm of living. As you spend time letting Jesus adjust your thinking, you won’t have to think about speaking pleasant words, wise words, instructive words, or healing words. It will just happen naturally. OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: MONTH JULY 29TH 2024 TOPIC: YOUR PHONE VS YOUR BIBLE MEMORISE: “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” - (Exodus 20:3) READ: EXODUS 20:3-6 (KJV) 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; MESSAGE: Today’s cell phones are extremely effective; with them, you can communicate with anybody in the world. Despite this being a positive thing, you must be careful not to live under your phone’s influence. You must not get addicted to your phone or live by it because Jesus said that man is to live by every word that comes out of God’s mouth (Matthew 4:4). Your Bible is what you must be addicted to and live by, not your phone. If you are not conscious of this, your phone may easily replace the word of God in your life, and this is quite dangerous because the Bible says that our God is a jealous God (Exodus 34:14). When you wake up in the morning, do you pick up your phone first or your Bible? You may say that you pick up your phone to check the time, but really, do you study the apps on your phone first or the verses in your Bible? Throughout the day, what do you have more on your mind, what you saw on your phone or what you read in the Bible? You are to meditate on God’s word day and night, not on social media feeds and reels. When you want to start a conversation with your friend in your DM, what interesting thing do you start with, a funny meme or a Scripture? Ephesians 5:19 says that we are to speak to each other in psalms and hymns, but many no longer have such conversations; it is all about celebrity gossip and memes. Can you see that there is a need to repent if your heart has been drawn away from God for so long without you knowing it? It is time to return to God’s word and become addicted to it again. It is time to begin to study the word first thing in the morning and last thing at night every day. If your heart has been drawn away from God, to bring your heart back to God’s word, you will have to exercise a lot of self-control. You must take decisive actions and stick with them. For example, decide to charge your phone far from you and put your Bible beside your pillow at bedtime. This way, you will read it before you sleep and pick it up when you wake up. You may need to delete some apps that you are addicted to. The time spent on them can be put to better use in prayers and the study of the word of God.
