Most recruiters spend waaaay too much of their time stressed out about this deal or the other, because every placement matter so much. 9 & 10 the final two pinpoint looking ahead and being present. (9) Recruiters are placing people all over the world from one location. Hundreds of recruiters are doing this, not just a few. Open your eyes 👀 (10) We get beat up by targets at times and claw ourselves toward the 5 year plan. Truth is that its what we do every day that matters. PSA: If you get a call or a message from a recruiter in 2024, take the time to respond in a thoughtful and kind way. You may have encountered recruiters in the past who didn't do great work and didn't connect with their clients on a human level. None of those recruiters are still in the industry in 2024 because they couldn't compete during the huge cutbacks in '22 and '23. The ones who are still in it are universally fantastic at what they do.
