I enjoyed this article. My favorite callout is marked below with a 🚀 👇👇👇 To extract [significant] 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 from Gen AI... 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱: 1️⃣ Behavioral Change 2️⃣ Controlled Experimentation 3️⃣ Measurement of Business Value 4️⃣ Data Management 5️⃣ Human Capital Development 6️⃣ Systems Thinking 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀: 1️⃣ Fund the responsible rebels. 🚀 2️⃣ Choose projects that are practical, quick wins, and politically aligned. 3️⃣ Link to the identity of the firm. Shortcuts to success rarely exist, and so I give thanks 🙏 to the authors for their healthy dose of reality, coupled with practical suggestions: ✍ Tom Davenport ✍ John Sviokla I'll leave you with the final nugget of wisdom from this article: "𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴." (John and Tom) Hope y'all enjoy this article as much as I did. Cheers! -Matt

School Communications - AI avatar video - Principal 9 week review Another example of a school communications use case for AI avatar videos. This was a fun AI avatar to work with - he has some very interesting expressions that I had to find some workarounds for! ====================================================== This Synthesia link should work until mid next week - select your preferred language at the bottom right (I selected what I believe are the 5 most popular languages spoken in my local school district: Conroe Independent School District).. [Note that language translation in these examples was generated by AI, and has NOT been verified by a native speaker. This is intentional, in order to demonstrate the quality of AI video auto-translation/amount of potential editing required]

AI adoption in your org isn't just about having the right technology—it’s about rethinking how we work. Sometimes, what stops us from moving forward isn’t the lack of tools, but our attachment to familiar ways of doing things. In many organizations, I've seen firsthand how reliance on tried-and-true processes, following "best practices," and sticking to comfortable routines can become barriers to progress. What if these habits are holding us back from realizing the true potential of AI? What if the real challenge isn't the technology itself, but our willingness to change the way we think and operate? The organizations that successfully embrace AI aren't necessarily the ones with the biggest budgets—they’re the ones that are willing to challenge their old ways, take risks, and ask: What could we do differently if we embraced AI to its fullest? Here are my top 5 ways to get started with AI adoption: 1. Just Start - Get in the Game: The biggest hurdle is often just taking the first step. Start experimenting, get familiar with AI tools, and begin integrating them into your workflows. Even small-scale trials can provide valuable insights and help overcome initial resistance. 2. English is the New Coding Language: AI tools today are more accessible than ever. You don't need to be a coder—natural language input can drive powerful AI tools. For example, platforms like v0.dev let you use plain English to achieve sophisticated outcomes. 3. Diversify Your Tools: AI is not one-size-fits-all. I often use multiple tools, like #ChatGPT, #Claude, and #Julius, for simple analytics or content generation. Each tool has its strengths, and using a combination helps you get the best results for different tasks. 4. Embrace Experimentation: AI is evolving fast, and what works today might change tomorrow. Adopt a mindset of continuous experimentation. Set up small pilot projects, test new ideas, and be prepared to learn and adapt along the way. Watch this video (warning: explicit language - https://lnkd.in/gxzG_jkZ) 5. Educate and Empower Your Team: AI adoption is a team effort. Make sure your team understands the potential of AI and feels empowered to use it. Provide training, share resources, and foster an environment where everyone feels comfortable exploring and leveraging AI tools. What’s one step you’re ready to take to leverage AI more effectively?
