To truly address the global scourge of HYPERTENSION, we should further qualify what "enhancing lifestyle and metabolic health" really means. I believe today it's often more about AVOIDANCE of PROCESSED FOODS RICH IN REFINED CARBOHYDRATES, especially SUGAR (sucrose/fructose/glucose) and FLOUR. Part of METABOLIC SYNDROME REVERSAL in my practice using Therapeutic Carbohydrate Restriction/TCR or Ketogenic Metabolic Therapy/KMT is the normalization of "essential hypertension" in a lot of patients even with eventual cessation of antihypertensive drugs.
