🚨 The United Kingdom is going fully digital! 🚨 Starting from 2025, physical immigration documents such as Biometric Residence Cards, Biometric Residence Permits, passport endorsements, and physical ‘vignette’ visa stickers will no longer be issued. Instead, the immigration status of all persons will be recorded electronically and accessible through an online Home Office account. This new format will not affect visa or permit eligibility or application criteria and requirements. Rather, the exclusive use of eVisas will only change the way individuals prove their immigration status to access certain services and benefits in the United Kingdom. 🚨 Important Update for UK Visa Holders 🚨 The UK government is transitioning to a fully digital immigration system by 2025, replacing physical documents with eVisas for improved security and efficiency. The following individuals will be affected: 🛂 If you have a Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) that expires on 31 December 2024, you can now create a UKVI account and access your eVisa. You should do this before the expiry date of your BRP. 🛂 If you have a Biometric Residence Card (BRC) and have been granted status under the EU Settlement Scheme, then you already have an eVisa and do not need to take any action. 🛂 If you have a Biometric Residence Card (BRC) but haven't obtained status under the EU Settlement Scheme or another immigration leave, your BRC is no longer valid—even if still in date. Ensure you secure your immigration status as soon as possible. Need guidance on the transition? Concerned about your immigration status? The rollout of Evisas has begun. The Home Office is aiming to replace all physical documents with Evisas by 2025. From today, the Home Office will begin to send emails to all those with physical immigration documents, called biometric residence permits (BRPs), inviting them to create a UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account to access an eVisa. This is digital proof of their immigration status. Find out more about the changes: https://buff.ly/3W4SuaO #HostileOffice #DigitalHostileEnvironment #DigitalBorder

📢 Important Changes to the UK Immigration System The Home Office is replacing physical immigration documents with a digital proof of immigration status called an eVisa. As part of the move to eVisas, anyone who uses a physical immigration document and who does not already have a UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) account will need to take action and create an account at www.gov.uk/eVisa. This includes individuals with a Biometric Residence Permit (BRP), a Biometric Residence Card (BRC) or legacy paper documents such as a passport containing an ink-stamp or visa vignette sticker. This move to eVisas does not impact any individuals’ underlying immigration status. Individuals should take action now to avoid any unnecessary complications when sharing visa status information or travelling. ~ eVisas and the great rollout ~ The UK government has delayed the full implementation of eVisas to address concerns about potential disruptions for individuals travelling and verifying their immigration status. In a written statement published on 4 December 2024, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Migration and Citizenship, announced an extension for expired biometric residence permits (BRPs) and EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) biometric residence cards. These documents will now remain valid for travel until at least March 31, 2025, provided the holder maintains valid immigration status. This extends the original deadline of December 31, 2024. While this extension allows temporary use of expired physical documents, the government strongly encourages all visa holders to transition to eVisas at the earliest opportunity. #eVisa #ukimmigration #ukvisas #brp #brc
