The prioritization of profit over peace is a concerning trend that needs to be addressed. The manipulation of governments and the exploitation of resources in pursuit of power only serve to further destabilize regions and harm innocent lives. It’s crucial for us to hold our leaders accountable and advocate for peaceful solutions to global conflicts.

Fatigue in air traffic controllers is a major problem. The one accident that sticks out in my mind was the Comair 5191 crash at LEX in 2006, in which all passengers and one of the two pilots died. There were a multitude of variables that led to that accident, but controller fatigue was at the top of the list. The FAA has issued a new scientific report on controller fatigue that all in the industry should read. #aviationsafety #airtrafficontrol #airports #aviation

They wanted to strengthen the areas that were frequently hit to increase the probability of survival of pilots and aircraft. The mathematician Abraham Wald, who was born in Austria-Hungary, had a hard time explaining to the Allies that it was not the frequently hit areas that should be reinforced, but the areas without hits.
