Today, I did what I could from where I'm at with what I have and called my political representatives/senators about my advice on the Israel-Palestine Conflict AFTER doing research on every side. I stated that the most sustainable peaceful solution should be a Two-State Solution WITHOUT Hamas leadership because Hamas has a charter document that specifically says to "obliterate Israel" which is too violent to support. A one-state solution would not be good either because with the history of conflict between the two populations, fair democratic operations are unlikely and will only reignite tensions. Therefore the best solution is a two-state governance WITHOUT the terrorist ideology of Hamas persuading Palestine to war-like actions. This is what I have done from where I am at.

Palestine as an independent state is something that needs to be investigated. Not because those who live in the territory do not deserve such a state but because of what can happen. If the Palestine leadership took specific aggressive actions recently, how much more difficult is it for the same leadership in Palestine to cause more divided actions? If there was a Palestine state, what would that mean whom they align with and the violations towards those who are defending themselves from further aggressive action against them? With new leadership, they can live in peace and have some rights.

The interesting renewal of the Algerian establishment under President Tabboune, and the enduring split in Libya between Haftar's and D'beebeh's two regimes are two topics of several that we talk about with North African expert Jon Marks.

Dr. Aziz Alghashian, from The Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington, writes from a Saudi perspective: Normalization with Israel? Not without addressing the Palestinian issue. In a paper by Mitvim, PAX for peace, and Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP), he argues it's about securing a U.S. strategic deal first, rather than strengthening ties with Israel. He suggests building a Palestinian economic horizon, green cooperation, and an Arab-Israeli expert network to push toward a two-state solution. A very interesting discussion with Rahul on the recently concluded SCO Summit in Islamabad, Pakistan. India made a strong statement on Regional Security and highlighted focus on Terrorism, Separatism and Extremism. SCO must foster collaboration, cooperation and Connectivity. This can be best achieved through good neighbourly relations. Eurasia will be an important area for India to develop as we are a very heavy energy dependent nation.
