From the article: "In the DTU ecosystem, the innovation process is not conceived as a linear journey that goes from basic to applied research and then to commercialization, but more as an iterative series of networked exchanges with different actors, who intervene at different moments of the innovation journey. Some universities go beyond simply leveraging their networks to support entrepreneurs on their innovation journeys and enriching the local communities — they create and orchestrate complete innovation ecosystems. To do so, they develop connections with multiple partners that they carefully select (across different sectors), then nurture meaningful long-term relationships that they can leverage to support projects in the long run.

South West tech leaders gather in Bristol to discuss sector's future ⚙️🤝 Scores of participants were at this year's Tech Leaders’ Summit in Bristol in the wake of the General Election to outline a roadmap for the sector in the south west region. Held in Clifton, the summit on July 9, was organised by regional cluster Tech South West and built on work on the Look South West prospectus - the first such document for the South West of England tech sector. According to the prospectus, net zero technology including marine, agritech, biotech, clean energy and environmental science in the region generates £24.1bn turnover, while South West startups are 17% more likely to be operating after five years than those based in London. The event featured discussion groups and workshops and delegates formed action plans, focusing on things like investment, net zero, and a response to the new Government, ahead of a live vote to understand priorities. Corporate Innovation Program Kick Off 🚀 Last month, we kicked off the Corporate Innovation Program (CIP), a program aimed at accelerating initiatives of companies, while providing students with insights into different industries such as renewable energies or real estate and implement innovation practices. The CIP is part of ESMT Berlin MIE (Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship) students. Students analyze, design, and implement innovation strategies and projects. These real-word cases allow our students to provide actionable solutions and fresh perspectives that corporates can directly integrate into their strategies💡. In addition to these projects, students received workshops and lectures from corporate innovation executives and startup founders. This year, we are really happy to collaborate with three companies and foundations: RWE, Stiftung Schalker Markt, and REPSA (Reinforced Plastic SA). All of the three projects concern an innovation and sustainability challenge.
