I read this article and being the person who constantly sees an Epic #Cosmos hammer for medical knowledge gap nails out there, I think we will see more and more enterprising clinicians out there who have access to the Cosmos tool who will ask, "Is this true?" I believe this even more firmly after my last week at #XGM2024. Front-line clinicians will have increasing access to tools that are both sophisticated and accessible to ask and answer these questions in a few minutes. Moreover, Epic announced mechanisms for users to collaborate and ask for help. In the near future, I could easily see this process unfolding: 1️⃣ A family practice doc who starts a patient on a biosimilar and sees some results or side effects on a few patients. 2️⃣ The physician queries Cosmos and gets an answer but is not confident in the results. 3️⃣ He posts on a forum, "Hey I got these answers. Anyone else interested in these answers and/or have data science chops to help me?" 4️⃣ A bunch of people respond. They collaborate and come up with an answer they share with the public or even publish in a journal.
