Reflecting on Gratitude Beyond Our Control 🍂 As Thanksgiving approaches, the air is filled with reminders to reflect on what we're thankful for. Friends, family, a roof over our heads, or perhaps even a solid financial foundation—all these blessings are worth celebrating. But one question I love to ask is: What are you grateful for that was completely out of your control? Think back over the past year. What made you thank your lucky stars? Was it a stroke of good fortune you couldn’t have planned for—or perhaps something you could have prepared for but didn't? For me, it's been the weather in NYC. This year, we've enjoyed a mild winter with hardly any snow and a summer that never reached triple digits. As someone who loves spending time outdoors, good weather is an unexpected blessing I truly appreciate. This simple exercise in gratitude reminds me of a powerful financial truth: While we can't control everything, we can prepare for the unexpected. What out-of-your-control moment are you thankful for this year?

Taking time off is essential—not only to recharge and stay effective in the workplace 💼 but also as a reminder to appreciate the people who support us on our professional journeys. I'm deeply grateful to have had the last few days to reflect, spend time with friends and family, and enjoy the holiday season 🍂. It's easy to get caught up in the professional demands of the present and past, but moments like these, coupled with a little mandatory time off (thank you, Matthew Wade & Aionios LLC!), provide an opportunity to pause and recognize what truly matters: the people, the connections 🤝, and the balance we strive for every day ⚖️. Our work is important. It fuels us financially, personally, and sometimes even creatively. But balance is key. With the right approach, we can nurture both our personal and professional lives—and yes, we really can have our cake and eat it too. Here's to gratitude, balance, and making time for what matters most 🌟. #Family #WorkLifeBalance #Hiring #Grateful #Opportunities

Reflecting on Gratitude this Thanksgiving 🍁 As Thanksgiving approaches, it’s a perfect moment to pause, reflect, and express gratitude—for both the relationships that sustain us and the opportunities we share. Thanksgiving reminds us of its origins, a time when communities came together to celebrate harvests and mutual support. Today, it serves as a reminder of the values that bring meaning to our lives: 🌟 Gratitude: Whether it’s our family, our friends, or our professional connections, this is the time to acknowledge the people and blessings that make a difference in our journeys. 🤝 Togetherness: Just as Thanksgiving historically symbolized cooperation, we value the partnerships we’ve built. To our customers, colleagues, and collaborators, thank you for being part of our story. ❤️ Generosity: Thanksgiving encourages us to think beyond ourselves—whether that’s through a kind word, an act of service, or supporting those in need. We also recognize the holiday’s deeper history, including its complex legacy for Indigenous communities. This reflection deepens our understanding of resilience, gratitude, and the importance of mutual respect. To our customers, thank you for trusting us to serve you. To our families, thank you for being the foundation that supports us. May this Thanksgiving bring joy, connection, and moments of reflection to all. What are you most grateful for this season? Share below—I’d love to hear your thoughts! #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #Community #Reflection

What Are You Grateful For This Week? Let’s Celebrate Together! Thanksgiving has been my favorite holiday for as long as I can remember. There's something beautiful about the simplicity of it: ✨ Sharing a meal with the people you love most. ✨ Creating space to pause and reflect on what you're grateful for. ✨ Being present in the joy of connection and community. Gratitude has been a grounding practice in both my personal life and my work as a college advisor. In fact, every meeting I have with a student begins with this question: "What are three things you're grateful for in the past week?" It’s incredible to witness the transformation that follows. Gratitude has a way of: 🌱 Nurturing presence, resilience, and joy. 🌱 Helping teens connect with what they truly value in their lives. 🌱 Reframing their relationship with their parents, recognizing the care behind the moments that sometimes feel like nagging. And here’s the best part: It’s a ripple effect. Gratitude starts small, but it grows. Even if your teen doesn’t immediately share their appreciation, planting that seed of gratitude will nurture a deeper connection over time. So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, let’s take a moment to celebrate gratitude together. ✨ What are you grateful for this week? Share in the comments—I’d love to hear your reflections and celebrate with you! Let’s fill this space with joy, connection, and appreciation. Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃💛
