National Development Plans (Kenya 2030, Jamaica Vision 2030, South Africa 2030 plus 40+ others) are based around BHAGS at a national level. They seem like a logical progression from BHAGs in companies, but the reality is very different. Here Geci Karuri-Sebina speaks to this very unique challenge, and the looming deadlines on plans like the ones listed above. Community is such a buzzword that we forget what it means sometimes. Or even worse, these days the chatter is about "my" community, separate from "their" community. I get anxious when I hear too much of that. It's important to seek avenues to connect and see each other, to share common energy and interests. To make each other smarter and more inspired. To be a part of a healthy community is to be a healthy human. It's how we progressed from hunter-gatherer to building AI robots to feed us. ExpertsLive is one good example - what's your healthy community?
I finally got to meet Julia Muiruri & Joylynn Kirui in person! ✨ Humbling to hear how Experts Live Kenya team are 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘒𝘦𝘯𝘺𝘢 🇰🇪 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦! 🙏🏻 Thank you for inspiring stories & work you do. 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐨𝐟 #TeamKenya 💙

Had an insightful discussion with Professor Tomoya Nakamura, president of GLOBIS USA, about #Kokorozashi (personal mission). Looking forward to applying the insights to create a more purposeful and impactful journey.
Learnt from Aiman Alkebsi-san, a #GLOBISMBA student, how #kokorozashi (personal mission) is spreading into #Africa. Isn't this wonderful? #グロービス経営大学院 #志 #アフリカ

I would like to share a bit about how these two have successfully helped feed so many millions of people, using smart methods, hard work and community-driven programs. Both 🙋♀️Heidi and Brian have worked on the ground, in Kenya and other areas of the globe, to build sustainable practices with, not for, those they serve. They build garden towers, educate on nutrition, help to provide chickens, goats and so many other life-changing opportunities. Their commitment and impact is a consistent topic in meetings for Natura Solve, where our goals align. The programs at 100 Humanitarians allow us to see SoilMix serving its purpose! We’re providing a concentrated natural mix to soil and compost, to boost health and outputs of the gardens and garden towers planted-and its been working so well, we are expanding in 17 countries, currently and have product being used or tested in at least 5 today (some goes places with other groups for similar purposes). Seeds planted, cared for and grown. Metaphorically and literally. The work done by Heidi and Paul is improving lives, providing food security and education that lasts for life. I believe they are also illustrating just how great of an impact we can have through dedicated service. #impact #service #foodsecurity #100Humanitarians
3 years ago, I asked Brian Paul how many times he thought he'd go to Kenya. One and done, was his reply. 🤣 Tomorrow, our team leaves to meet The USANA Chairman's Club in Kenya! Because of the support of The USANA Foundation, over 15,000 garden towers have been built in Kenya during those 3 years. We've seen and experienced miracles. Please keep our team in your prayers as we travel!

Recent conservation strategies that prioritize investing in local communities are showing promising results, demonstrating that empowering people is crucial to protecting nature. By supporting community-led initiatives in agriculture, ecotourism, and renewable energy, we are preserving biodiversity and fostering economic resilience. These programs create jobs, enhance education, and improve health outcomes, enabling communities to become stewards of their natural resources. The impacts are clear: increased biodiversity, economic growth, and educational opportunities, proving that a healthy environment and prosperous communities go hand in hand. Let's continue to support and invest in grassroots conservation efforts! Kudos to Women empowerment initiatives by African People & Wildlife and the Mama Asali initiative for showing these positive impacts…. #Conservation #Sustainability #CommunityInvestment #EnvironmentalStewardship #SustainableDevelopment
