Bekah: The citrus industry was my gateway into agriculture, and little did I know it would spark a deep passion for produce, especially citrus. What excites me most about the industry is the shared enthusiasm; from the dedication of growers to the commitment of retailers, passion truly runs through every aspect of this field. It's inspiring to be part of a community that values and celebrates citrus as much as I do. Sydney: What I find most rewarding in my work is acting as the connector who brings all the pieces together. This industry thrives on relationships, understanding the needs of both growers and retailers, and staying adaptable in the face of challenges like weather events that are completely out of our control. Every day calls for quick thinking and a readiness to pivot. I love being part of finding solutions to real problems. At the end of the day, we’re all in this together, and that sense of collaboration is incredibly fulfilling. #humansofimgcitrus #imgcitrus #lovewhatyoudo #leadership #teamwork #businessdevelopment #floridacitrus

Weeds can choke the growth of crops, just as distractions and unnecessary tasks can sap a sales team's productivity. Leaders should aim to remove these obstacles to enable the team to focus on high-impact activities that drive sales.

Just as farmers face good and bad seasons, sales results can fluctuate due to various factors outside one's control, like market trends or economic shifts. The key is to be prepared to capitalize on the good times and to have a resilient plan for the tougher periods.

This post by Jane Hernon is a life and business analogy with an excellent graphic to go with it. But, think about it... WE NEED FARMERS. Kids should be exposed to farming and farming as a career or industry to have a career in...lots of agribusiness related jobs. And, WE NEED DIETITIANS AND NUTRITIONISTS to help educate people about their health and what foods benefit you the most and/or help you decrease the need for unnecessary medications although it is great to have medications when needed. In general, WE NEED TEACHERS, GOOD TEACHERS. And, we need good teachers in these fields to engage students and mentor them in career paths. We need good teachers to share their knowledge with the coming generations or we will be lost.

This is very good, but I know it can be hard to follow especially when your organisation or you as a supervisor are used to constantly chasing deadlines and not really working on and with your team to improve. Taking this advice, Think like a farmer, would go a long way in improving interactions with your team and will definitely lead to better outcomes in performance and morale. #ServantLeadership#OrganizationalImprovement

This is so so good. Often times in sales leadership we want instant success, instant results… instant everything. It doesn’t work like that. It didn’t work like that when we were brand new, so why do we think it is going to work like that for our sales reps we are leading?? Spoiler alert; it won’t. Give your reps time to grow. Invest in them. Nurture them. Give them goals based off historical data. Stop blaiming themfor everything that goes wrong. Look inward and fix things from the top down. I truly believe that strong organizations do not fire their problems away. They mentor and teach. Give them continued training and mentorship. Jobs are ever changing. Your team needs continued mentorship. Let’s stop excpecting immediate results. And let’s help grow our “crops “ to be successful, not only in our own organization, but for the rest of their careers. Because when we do this, we are being the kind of mentor/leader that we all want and need. Let’s goooo.
