We’re excited to announce that 62 live music tours have been selected to perform across South Africa and six SADC countries from February to the end of April 2025! For the first time since Covid, our mobility fund will get artists moving again. This is all thanks to support from the South African National Treasury’s Jobs Fund and the Southern African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO) as part of the Festival Enterprise Catalyst (FEC). The FEC includes the National Arts Festival, Nasionale Afrikaanse Teater-inisiatief (NATi), Concerts SA (administered by IKS Cultural Consulting), SAMRO, Woordfees, Aardklop, Suidoosterfees, Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees (KKNK) and the Tribuo Fund. We hope this will bring live music directly to communities. Over 600 artists applied and the final list represents the best of South Africa’s diverse music scene. The tours will create much needed jobs, stimulate the local music economy and reconnect artists with their fans.
