Just like the Lagos Innovators and fabricators, the Kano members of CONESAM appreciated the RISA team visit as being instructive on following Proposed actions for immediate implementation include ensuring the transfer of essential documentation to CONESAM leadership by the National and Zonal Task teams. These documents encompass finalized engineering designs, preliminary testing results, approved working parameters, user manuals, training guides, and regulatory/business support guidelines for all machines developed. These measures aim to sustain functionality and facilitate the commercialization of technologies post-testing, benefiting all stakeholders in the ecosystem. 🌱 Strengthening Ties Through Agricultural Innovation: Kazakhstan Delegation Visits the Netherlands I was honored to support the organization of a pivotal visit by Kazakhstan’s delegation to the Netherlands, jointly arranged by the Embassy of Kazakhstan and KAZAKH INVEST JSC. The visit focused on advancing agricultural innovation and fostering collaboration between our countries. Key Outcomes: Over 30 productive meetings and an investment round table: Delegates engaged with leading Dutch agri-tech companies, including Certhon, KUBO, Lely, and Bayer – De Ruiter Seeds, exploring groundbreaking solutions in greenhouse technologies, sustainable farming, and AI-driven agriculture. ✅ A new working group in agriculture: Established between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands to drive initiatives in modern farming, energy efficiency, and food security. ✅ Opportunities for partnerships: From greenhouse innovations to dairy farming, Kazakh and Dutch companies identified pathways for collaboration to expand sustainable agriculture in Kazakhstan. 🌐 CIRAWA brings together 16 partners from nine countries in Africa and Europe. Each one of them are invaluable to the success of the CIRAWA project, so let’s get to know them better! 👤Who? CARTIF, the coordinator of the project. 🔍What do they do? Fundación CARTIF is a Spanish Applied Research Centre leader in R&D and technology transfer activities. They focus on the development of processes and technologies that contribute to the sustainable management of natural resources and to the improvement and protection of the environment. They pay special attention to those aspects that help to mitigate the effects of climate change and improving the quality of air, soil, food, and water. 💪What is their role in the project? CARTIF, in addition to the project coordination activities, will be in charge of the definition of the study plots, the design and development of an integrated irrigation system (DSS) with fertilisation recommendations adapted to each study site, as well as training activities for the farming community.
