Homes with #solar import less electricity around the middle of the day, and this has big implications for #battery storage Instead of a once-per day dip in electricity prices (in the early hours of the morning), I believe we will soon see a double-dip (cheap electricity both at 3am and 1pm). This will mean that #batteries can cycle twice in 24 hours. This can potentially cut the payback period in half. And that's on top of the rapidly falling hardware prices, which are already helping boost the case for investing in battery storage. Bottom line: I believe there's wind in the sails of the grid-scale and behind-the-meter battery businesses.
