How I plan to be 1 step closer to the American Energy Market ,  and I want to meet you there… In just a few days, I will be returning to the USA for the third time this year. And I couldn’t be more excited! 👉 From the 9th to the 12th, I'll be at the RE+ fair in Anaheim. (California, what a wonderful state—I truly love it. Any tips or suggestions?) The days ahead will be packed: →Dealing with jet lag →Managing a heavy workload → Dealing with different food and habits → Meeting countless people in the solar business → Experiencing a major trade fair in the energy industry But none of this intimidates me; in fact, it fuels my energy. I'm getting better at managing the workload, handling pressure, navigating different cultural approaches, and tackling the countless things to study and learn. Every experience, every person I've met, every product analyzed, and every customer I've assisted has enriched my professional journey, and for that, I am deeply grateful. Summary of the presentation: "How do we know if the decisions we make are good if we are not able to analyze them?" The first part of this presentation establishes the structural or functional relation between data and decision making and covers the main definitions and assumptions used. The second part is about some work and studies carried out in Equinor related to a proposed framework for quantifying the utility and hence the value of subsurface information. The third part introduces the business decision schema and framework based on the "6 elements of decision quality" principles, currently being implemented in the OSDU data platform enabling project linage and decision tracking and analysis. Lastly, a simplified well planning/construction use case is shown as an example of how the decision framework can be utilized for the realtime decision process in well placement optimization.

OEUK LIMITED put on another fantastic Share Fair yesterday, three times larger than the year before, 28 companies presenting, and with 1-1 meetings arranged on the side, this event is proving to be a must attend show for those involved in the energy industry. The highlights for me were learning about how open the UK’s oil and gas operators are in terms of wanting to engage with the UK’s highly skilled supply chain. For example, CNOOC International needing to increase technical solutions to save bed space on the Scott platform, which is currently at capacity, to bp identifying a need for yet more electrolysers and more engineers. Other highlights for me were learning about EnergyPathways plc mission to develop low emission energy projects to meet the UK’s increasing gas demand and to find out more about Wood engaging with the supply chain to find solutions for a balance in between maintaining the environment, an ageing and retiring workforce, all the while maintaining a high volume of business, a challenge Wood is relishing. The objective of the project is to predict peak energy demand, manage load balancing and reduce energy waste in the distribution network through the application of machine learning algorithms. Abdoul chose to work with Hydroelectricity to predict its consumption in North America and learn from it. This week I attended the launch event for DNV - Energy Systems ETO for Spain. One of our panels focused on the critical role that DEI plays as an accelerator in the energy transition. My key takeaways are: 1. Job opportunities within the sector far exceed the size of the talent pipeline. The sector must do more to demystify career pathways, skills and qualifications needed, and especially to those groups not traditionally represented. 2. Many of the barriers to the energy transition; policy, social resistance and adaptation to new behaviours, could be alleviated by greater inclusion and engagement of all communities. 3. Businesses within the sector have ambitions to be relevant long into the future. DEI is driver of business performance and a value, and that commitment should outlast short-term political headwinds. I cleaned data generated by Quantum Analytics NG using the Power Query feature in Power BI. This Power BI dashboard analyzes world energy consumption.
