🔌ExCo 59 - Day One 🔌 Urban Foresight hosted the Task 1 knowledge sharing workshop today. The event had presentations from the Jeju Energy Corporation, where a highlight was learning how new residential developments with over 100 dwellings will now have mandatory EV chargepoints installed. We heard country updates from three member countries: Switzerland, USA and Italy. They discussed the recent changes in policy as well as the various commitments to increasing access to public charging infrastructure. The Advanced Materials and Combustion Technology Collaboration Programmes also talked about how we could work together on shared projects. RHC-ETIP has published an input on Horizon Europe Work Programme 2025. One of the goals of RHC-ETIP has always been to ensure that the RHC community’s input is included in the preparation of funding programmes for R&I such as the annual Work Programmes for the main EU Research and Innovation frameworks (i.e. Horizon Europe). To that effect, RHC-ETIP's Horizontal Working Groups and Technology Panels have reviewed and upgraded the R&I priorities identified in the RHC-ETIP Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (published in 2021) and collated input proposing priority topics to be included in the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2025. The objective is to bring clarity in terms of research and innovation needs to enhance the adoption of renewable heating and cooling technologies, and to improve the competitiveness of the European renewable heating and cooling sector.
