Very happy to contribute to this interesting panel at ETIP PV - The European Technology & Innovation Platform for Photovoltaics next week in Brussels to discuss how future Common European Energy Data Spaces are key data exchange frameworks leveraging latest IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards to integrate residential PV self consumption with storage, #V2X leveraging growing revenues from Intraday wholesale markets and Dynamic Load Averaging Services. The fast deployment of PV through our Power Systems requires to rethink historical feed in tariff models now obsolete where solar electrons were highly valued whatever grid constraints into new self consumption schemes where prosumers will soon "autotrade" their surplus through energy communities and #flexibility service providers navigating through the price duck curve. 🌞 Breaking New Ground in Solar Power 🌞 The latest results from the GCL Perovskite Tandem Modules show a significant efficiency improvement, now reaching 27.34% on a 2050cm² module, surpassing the previous 26.36% on a 1.71m² module. Through GCL SI’s low-temperature synthesis process below 100°C, we have significantly reduced energy consumption in production while achieving a 90% reduction in carbon emissions in the perovskite layer. This August, Advances in Photovoltaic Technology (AdPVTech) was present at the 2024 European PVPMC Workshop, held in Copenhagen, Denmark. An event hosted by the DTU - Technical University of Denmark, Sandia National Laboratories and European Energy, which brought together experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities in PV performance modelling. During the workshop, emerging solar technologies such as agrivoltaics, floating photovoltaics and new generations of photovoltaic cells were discussed, and we had the opportunity to present the work entitled ‘Global Energy Assessment of the Potential of Photovoltaics for Agrivoltaic Applications’. Serentica was honored to participate in the CEA Golden Jubilee Foundation Day, where key leaders from the power sector shared their insights on India’s journey towards achieving net-zero targets. During the CEA Golden Jubilee, our CEO, Akshay Hiranandani emphasized four essential steps for decarbonization: smarter demand management, geographical diversification of generation assets, regulatory clarity on structures like virtual PPAs, and necessary DISCOM reforms. Dr. Andreas Wolf, Head of Group Silicon Solar Cells at Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE, as the keynote speaker at the TaiyangNews - All About Solar High Efficiency Solar Technologies #VirtualConference, went back to the 1980s to show TOPCon's evolution as technology. Suggested and termed "TOPCon" at ISE in 2013, the structure that was suggested for solar cells in the 1980s has 'always' been around as the ‘shivering giant’ and has undergone several advancements to come to the TOP.
