Your product's success mainly depends on how the audience perceives it 💯 Yes, functionality plays a significant role, too. But you should never overlook its design, navigation logic, and architecture. But don't take my words for granted. According to analysts from Business Research Insights, the UI design market will reach $6.38 billion by 2031. If Fortune Business Insights experts are right, the UX design service industry will be estimated at over $32.95 billion by 2030 😯 The market size is growing, which means so does the demand for design services. Today, I'll show you how to properly hire a UI/UX designer and optimize the costs associated with product design 👇 #uiux #uiuxdesign #hiring #designerhiring #hiringtips

💼 Looking to Get Noticed in UX/UI? Show Off Your Skills Here! 💼 With the job market tougher than ever, I’ve been thinking of a new way to help UX/UI designers showcase their talent and get on the radar of hiring managers. Here’s the idea: Each week, I’ll share a real-world example of a design that could use improvements. Here’s how it works: - Redesign the Example: Add your unique improvements to the design I share. - Share Your Rationale: Comment with an image of your redesign, describing the changes you made and the reasoning behind them. - Community Vote: Everyone can vote on the best design, and the top design will be pinned for extra visibility. This is a great opportunity if: - You want a way to showcase your skills to potential employers. - You’re looking to demonstrate your design thinking on real-life examples. - You enjoy engaging with a community of designers and learning from others. Share your feedback! Follow for more #uiux #ux #ui #after #before #uiuxdesigner #figma

More specifically (and respectfully)... 👇 • Good at knowing humans? UX/User Research. "UX" refers to the broader process. Only deep research will help you "know" and understand humans. • Good at visual? UI and/or visual design principles, color theory and even UX psychology. • Good at both? Product Design. Well, what if you're designing physical hardware and products? What if you're designing a credit card or bluetooth speaker? • Skilled in both design and code? There are no active roles (on LinkedIn at least) for "UX Engineer" Google UXE describe's this as "...working across Visual Design, Interaction Design, Software Engineering and Project Management..." Would a UX Engineer conduct user research and usability testing? • Enjoy rapid prototyping? It is NOT limited to Interaction Design, (as seen in Nordstrom's Sunglass App video - https://lnkd.in/gawgeV3h) and is a common part of any design thinking or UX process. Paper prototyping and rapid iterative prototyping are part and parcel of the process (and reliant on user feedback). • Enjoy systems? What about information systems (navigation, sitemaps, way-finding), language and UX Writing? Furthermore, Design Systems are not the sole responsibility of ONE person. DSD (Design System Development) should be a collaborative team effort. (Design systems don't always need to be created from scratch although a Designer should be well-versed at "maintenance" and "iteration" when walking into a new role where a Design System already exists) • Enjoy data? UX Research. Plain and simple. As well as business acumen and analysis. Gathering and using data should be bread and butter for any dedicated and ambitious Designer. Or, simply go and learn about Data Science and Data Analysis. (As above, I can only find Growth Marketer roles on LinkedIn, no Growth Designer roles) 💡 So the above aren't "Career Choices" per se, but rather skills and focus areas Designers can learn. I tell my students to only worry about speciality skills once they have had some experience in the industry, typically 12 months, giving them some grounding first. 💥 Other skill areas I would consider would include: • Generative AI • Voice design • Robotics • Front-end coding • Finance and/or business analysis • Product management, specifically KPIs, OKRs etc #ux #careers
