Encouraging for two reasons: 1. You should be able to reuse perfectly performant and functional routers 2. Operator routers are regularly at the back of the pack with regards to functionality, so if you want good connectivity in many situations, purchasing retail units will get you better devices and performance (speed AND energy consumption).

Onestream, the UK broadband provider, is offering every new customer the option to reuse their existing router in a drive to stop tonnes of electronics from becoming e-waste.
